Central Region:15 Year old boy was Paralysed after a nurse allegedly injected him with overdose medication at Awutu Mfadwen.

The nurse at  Awutu Mfadwen health center negligently injected him with overdose medication which has Paralysed him.


On the 28th March 2022, A 15-year-old called Richard Adjei who resides at  Awutu Mfadwen a suburb of Bontrase in the  Awutu Senya West District of the central region was dreaming to become a professional footballer in the future and is battling for his life after a nurse at  Awutu Mfadwen health center negligently injected him with overdose medication which has Paralysed him.


According to the father of the victim Mr. Evans Adjei, his son was complaining of a severe headache so he was sent to  Awutu Mfadwen health center for treatment upon reaching the center, the health worker requested that the boy needs to be injected.

He added that the son refused to take the injection but he was forced by some of the health workers before the injection was given to his son,  after the act, the following day another injection was given to his son and that's where the problem began. 


The victim Richard Adjei was later rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital and after he was diagnosed, it show his son was given an overdose injection from Mfadwen health center. His son was later referred to Korle bu teaching hospital he has been discharged but still can't walk.


Also, the mother of the victim madam Esther Alordzi noted, that there's no money to take care of his son anymore because the health workers have ignored them without helping them take care of her son. 

She, therefore, appealed to individuals to come to their help them.


Finally, soireenews went to the Awutu Senya West Health Directorate to respond to the above-mentioned incident but were kept mute.
