NDC Intercepts Memo From Electoral Commission on The Stolen Biometric Equipment—Dr. Edward Omane Boamah Hints
THE Director of Elections and IT ahead of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has disclosed that the NDC's reliable and unimpeachable engle eye intelligence system has intercepted a memo from the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana in connection of the stolen Biometric Equipment.
This development, according to the former Minister of Communications follows the thirty-five (35) questions the party has posed to the Electoral Commission at Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) on the stolen Biometric Equipment.
Dr. Omane Boamah stated that the memo is requesting all Regional Directors of the Electoral Commission to compile and submit "all the challenges" associated with the 2023 voters register used for the District Assembly elections.
The move, according to him,  is in order! adding that "Because the voters register has several discrepancies."
However, he mentioned that the request contained in the internal memo does not satisfy the need for an independent and transparent audit of the EC's IT system.
He maintained that this audit has become necessary due to the missing components of the Biometric Verification Registration (BVR) Kits.
"As announced by Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the NDC, regarding the missing EC BVR components: "We will call for an independent audit of the EC's IT system," Dr. Omane Boamah writes.
