We’re no more part of Avatime Traditional Area - Amedzofe declares
At the declaration of freedom

Residents in Amedzofe within the Ho West District of the Volta region have declared a break away from Avatime Traditional Council.

According to the residents led by their elders, the Avatime Traditional Council has over the years oppressed the people of Amedzofe hence the decision to let out from the Avatime Traditional Authority to be on their own as a paramountcy.

At a press conference held on Friday, 18 June 2021 to channel their grievances,  the Assembly Man for Amedzofe Electoral Area, Robert Ameh, read a statement on behalf of the people after performing rituals and traditional walk across the community to signify their freedom.

According to the leader of the resident's Honourable Robert Ameh, they can do anything on their own and needs no one's intervention or decision as it uses to be.

He called on all residents of Avatime to embrace the call and together for a unified paramountcy to bring more development to the community.
