The move taken by the philanthropist who doubles as a famous Ghanaian business mogul was in response to a request made by the chief and people of the area to the NDC PC.

The project funded by the NDC PC is scheduled to complete in not more than ten months.
In the sense, the Soireenews.com can confirm that Mr Frimpong has brought the excavator to Awaham to start prepare the site for the work to be done on the construction of a 10 seater ultra-modern toilet facility for residents at Awaham
The lack decent toilet facility has been a major problem for residents of Awaham and their visitors over the years since all attempts to get state authorities to come to their aid have proven futile.

However, this problem became known to Mr. Frimpong during his working visit to the town some weeks ago and upon hearing it, he asked the Chief and his elders to provide a land for the project.
Addressing the gathering in the event, the Chief of Awaham, Barima Pobi Asomaning said the project has come at the right time since public place of convenience was a major challenge to the people and was grateful to Mr Frimpong for the timely intervention.

Barima Pobi Asomaning also confessed his surprise at the speed with which Mr Frimpong responded to the call and prayed that the project would be as well completed and commissioned on time.
For his party, Mr Frimpong noted that he truly has the Lower West Akyem Constituency at heart, and I want to get into a higher position, being an MP, to be able to do more for the people.”
Mr Frimpong emphasised his quest to put smiles on the people whenever their needs are brought before him.
"It's his personal pledge to God and the good people of Lower West Akim Constituency to lead and deliver them from the 24-year bondage," he stressed.
He expressed worry about the vote buying practices of his opponents in the area, and called on them to stop the practices giving goodies and money to voters to vote for them to win the seat and rather focus on how to bring the needed monomental projects to the area.
The NDC PC called for an end to monetization in the country's politics which is very dangerous to our democracy.
"Currently, there is a civilisation in Ghana, he said making reference to the massive  monetization of politics which has rocked the bye-election in the Assin North Constituency in the Central Region for which some element thought that they could used money to bribe voters to influence them to vote in their favour but they have woefully failed to achieve the target."
"In some times ago we have some people who are contesting parliamentary election thought that they would mobilized money to use during the electioneering period to buy conscience of the voters to vote in their favour but this political mafia game in politics is completely over.
"Politics that we have been doing previously for which the parliamentary candidates may think of soliciting funds from their partners to use to buy the conscience of the voters is not what we are doing these days.
"These days it is clear that you cannot find it easy to buy the conscience of the eligible voters to vote for you. I want to declare that l am not ready to buy and influence the voters to vote for me in the 2024 general election.
"However, l have the clear cut policies and strategies to ensure that l work hard to bring the needed social and infrastructure development to the area if l am giving the node to win the parliamentary seat of the area come Saturday December 7, 2024 polls  because l have the constituents is in my heart" the upcoming MP assured.
"I like would to repeat that helping the people in the constituency is in my heart. And that we have starting these initiatives long time. So  politics have come to meet us. And that l am not doing these initiatives just because l want to become the MP in the area, but l have been thinking of what to do to bring the needed development to the people in the constituency to improve their living conditions," Mr Frimpong stated.
"We are thinking of the development of the party and as well the development of the Lower West Akyem Constituency and our nation as a whole. We are against the ideas of the political campaign that a parliamentary candidate would hide the money and wait for the electioneering campaign before you could use such money to buy the conscience of the voters to vote for you to win the election.
"This is bad politics. So the constituents should say no to this parliamentary candidate. This is simply because any parliamentary candidate who has this agenda means that he/she has a different idea or agenda to pursue differently from he/she political aganda and strategy," he explained.
Mr Frimpong who Shipping Consultant noted that the voters should know that demanding money from candidates before voting for them is just like selling off one's conscience.
According to him, making money a priority in politics has a negative repercussion on our democracy.
“Once we monetize our leadership, we’ve gotten to our dead end. When money buys conscience, whatever comes after is dangerous. Once your conscience is compromised, your life is compromised as well,” the NDC PC added.
Mincing no words, Mr Frimpong stressed that the eligible voters in the constituency to be mindful not to make an mistake to vote for the vote buying parliamentary candidate because he/she has a different political agenda in his/her mind.
He stressed that after such parliamentary candidate buy "your votes to win, he would take you for granted."
According to him, candidates are moving from seeking the interest of the constituency to personal interest which compels candidates to use money to get eligible voters to vote them into power.
“There is some kind of resolution ongoing where the roles of parliamentarians are being metamorphosed. The first change has to do with the expectation of the electorate. Now the conversation has moved to a level where people are seeking self-interest. That is what is leading to the monetization, the ‘monecracy’ of our body politics such that now if you don’t have money, you are not considered, and it drives corruption in Ghana and it must stop now,”  Mr Frimpong warned.
For his part, the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Sunday expressed how proud he is of his NDC PC for the humanly love he has for people and communities.
He recounted numerous of similar intervention projects  Mr Frimpong has given to various communities in the constituency.
He urged the people of Awaham to have hope, trust and confidence in the Parliamentary Candidate to deliver when he finally get nod as MP.
The Chief of Awaham, Barima Pobi Asomaning also confessed his surprise at the speed with which Mr Owen Kwame Frimpong responded to the call and prayed that the project would be as well completed and commissioned on time.
