The groups could not understand why Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, would create the impression of organizing what he described as a "heartfelt thank-you tour and congratulations to all constituency executives.
....Labels His Thank You Tour As Just A Political Gimmick To Trick Delegates Into Re-Electing Him.
Aggrieved grassroots supporters and members of the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region have taken on the incumbent NDC Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, warning him to cease deceiving constituents and misleading delegates, party loyalists, and constituency executives through his disingenuous 'Thank You Tour' political tactics."

The groups could not understand why Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, would create the impression of organizing what he described as a "heartfelt thank-you tour and congratulations to all constituency executives.
They knew the current actions of Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and his followers were not sincere, but rather a political scheme to deceive delegates into voting for him (Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba) to win another term as Chairman.
The grassroots group questioned the sincerity of the incumbent NDC Upper East Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba.
Supporters argued that this sudden move is merely a political strategy to trick delegates into re-electing him.
Critics have pointed out that in his 20 years in office—often running unopposed—Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba has never organized a thank-you tour across the region's 15 constituencies.
They urged delegates, party faithful, former MMDCEs, and former executives to see through these tactics, noting that he only values them now because his position is being contested by Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba.
Recently, viral news stories and pictures emerged showing the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Upper East Regional Chairman and his executives embarking on a thank-you tour in the Navrongo Central Constituency.
While Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and his followers described the tour as a genuine demonstration of gratitude, unity, and appreciation to grassroots supporters—rallying behind the slogan, "One Party, One Family, One Vision!"—dissenters in the 15 constituencies labeled the exercise a political gimmick aimed at feigning concern for delegates and party loyalists.
Critics stated that what was most irritating was the complete absence of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Upper East Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, when both the party's National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and former President John Dramani Mahama toured constituencies in the region during their "Thank You Tour."
They pointed out that Alhaji Bolnaba was in Accra before these top political figures visited the region.
Consequently, it was Mr. Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba who organized his followers to accompany President Mahama and Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
Furthermore, they warned the incumbent NDC Chairman to stop taking credit for winning 15 out of the 15 parliamentary seats in the Upper East Region.
They clarified that he did not work for this victory, and that the credit for the 15-seat sweep should instead go to the aspiring Chairman of the NDC in the Upper East, Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba and his team.
"However, the 15/15 victory should be attributed to the hardworking constituency chairmen, individuals like Ghaneba, and the MPs themselves.
"All constituency executives attested to the fact that while Bolnaba was never seen campaigning in their areas, they and their MPs met with Ghaneba several times as he performed party-related duties across Builsa South, Builsa North, Zebila, Garu, Tempane, and Pusiga," they noted.
Against this background, the NDC firebrand appealed to all and sundry—including all duty-bearers, stakeholders, and everyone who matters in the NDC of the Upper East Region—to muster the courage to get involved and join forces with him to win the Upper East Regional NDC chairmanship race.
According to him, the fight to win the Upper East Regional NDC chairmanship race is not just his fight; it belongs to everyone.
Mr Ghaneba stated that stakeholders, grassroots supporters, and members, including duty-bearers in the region, are distressed because of the selfish interests of Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba.
He described Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba as a source of heartbreak for the people in the region's NDC, saying: "I am in the contest for you to help me win the chairmanship position to help provide the remedy to cure the distress inflicted on NDC supporters and members in the Upper East Region by Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba."
He explained that many grassroots members and supporters of the NDC in the region are sitting on the fence, noting that whenever there is a push for change, the forces that feed on the old system will always resist it.
"We are therefore not surprised by Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and his cronies, who are doing everything to make sure that change does not occur in this upcoming Upper East Regional Chairman election.
"So, we are urging delegates and party faithful—including duty-bearers, stakeholders, MPs, chiefs, and delegates—to recognize this and vote for Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba to win the NDC Upper East Regional Chairman position," he entreated the delegates.
He stated that voting for Mr Ghaneba is voting for themselves and their own progress, and that a vote for Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba is a vote for the renewal and democratic victory of the Upper East Region. He therefore urged delegates and party faithful to vote massively for him as the new Upper East Regional NDC Chairman.
He stated that Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and his cronies have made it clear they will induce delegates and party faithful with gifts to ensure his retention.
"Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and his cronies have boldly made it clear that Duncan Nsoh Ghaneba does not have the money to influence delegates and party faithful to vote massively for him.
But the incumbent NDC Upper East Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, has money. He has secured many government contracts and is bringing the proceeds from these contracts down to campaign in the region to win the election," Mr Ghaneba alleged.
Meanwhile, he noted that they are also aware Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba has secured government contracts but has failed to execute them.
"So, he is bringing down those funds to come and redeem his image. Once Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba wins the Upper East Regional Chairmanship, it means the party's lawyers would have to defend him," Mr Ghaneba stated.
He pointed out that there were several attempts by Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba and the Upper East Regional Minister to buy off Mr Ghaneba so he would step down and let Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba run unopposed, an offer Mr Ghaneba said he rejected.
