ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
The purpose of this Author Monetization Policy is to establish the terms, conditions, rights, responsibilities, eligibility requirements, payment procedures, revenue calculation methods, compliance obligations, and operational standards governing participation in the SoireeNews Author Monetization Program. This Policy is intended to create a transparent, fair, and sustainable monetization system that rewards authors for producing original, accurate, engaging, and high-quality journalism while preserving the editorial integrity, legal compliance, and long-term financial stability of the SoireeNews Platform.
The Author Monetization Program is designed to compensate eligible authors based on the legitimate performance of their published content. Revenue distributed through the Program is generated primarily from advertising revenue, sponsored content, affiliate partnerships, premium publishing services, licensing opportunities, and other lawful revenue streams developed by SoireeNews. Participation in the Program is a privilege rather than a guaranteed right and remains subject to continuous compliance with all applicable Platform policies.
Nothing in this Policy creates an employment relationship, partnership, agency, joint venture, or ownership interest between participating authors and SoireeNews. Authors participate as independent content contributors and remain solely responsible for their own legal, tax, financial, and regulatory obligations arising from their participation in the Program.
ARTICLE 2 – SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Policy applies to every author, journalist, contributor, freelance writer, publisher, editor, media organization, or other approved content creator who participates in the SoireeNews Author Monetization Program. The Policy governs all monetization activities conducted through the Platform regardless of geographic location, nationality, publication category, language, or subject matter.
Participation in the Program requires continued compliance with the SoireeNews Terms and Conditions, Community Standards Policy, Copyright Policy (DMCA), Privacy Policy, AI Content Disclosure Policy, Advertising Policy, User Account and Security Policy, Corrections and Retractions Policy, Cookie Policy, and any additional editorial or operational requirements established by SoireeNews from time to time.
This Policy applies only to revenue generated through authorized monetization features made available by SoireeNews and does not govern compensation arrangements independently negotiated outside the Platform unless expressly incorporated into a written agreement.
ARTICLE 3 – ELIGIBILITY FOR MONETIZATION
Eligibility for participation in the Author Monetization Program is determined solely by SoireeNews. Authors seeking monetization must maintain an active account in good standing, comply with all Platform policies, provide accurate registration information, complete required verification procedures, and satisfy any eligibility criteria established by the Company.
Eligibility may require successful completion of identity verification, tax verification, payment account verification, editorial review, publication quality assessments, compliance history evaluations, and other reasonable procedures designed to protect readers, advertisers, business partners, and the integrity of the Platform.
Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the Program. SoireeNews reserves the exclusive right to approve, suspend, deny, or revoke monetization privileges whenever participation is determined to present legal, operational, reputational, financial, or security concerns.
ARTICLE 4 – MONETIZATION PRINCIPLES
The SoireeNews Author Monetization Program is founded upon principles of fairness, transparency, editorial independence, and responsible journalism. Revenue is intended to reward genuine audience engagement with original, lawful, and high-quality content rather than artificial traffic, deceptive practices, or manipulation of Platform systems.
Authors are encouraged to produce accurate reporting, well-researched investigative journalism, thoughtful analysis, responsible opinion pieces, and other content that contributes meaningfully to public understanding. Revenue opportunities should never influence editorial independence, factual accuracy, or compliance with professional journalism standards.
Participation in the Program requires ongoing adherence to ethical publishing practices. Authors who prioritize sensationalism, misinformation, plagiarism, fabricated reporting, deceptive engagement techniques, or other prohibited conduct may lose monetization eligibility regardless of article performance.
ARTICLE 5 – ORIGINAL CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
Only original content that complies with applicable laws and Platform policies may qualify for monetization. Authors must own the necessary rights to publish their work or possess all licenses, permissions, or legal authorizations required to distribute the content through SoireeNews.
Articles copied from other publishers, substantially plagiarized material, unauthorized translations, duplicated content, automatically generated spam, or content that infringes intellectual property rights shall not qualify for monetization. Where articles summarize or reference information obtained from other news organizations or publicly available sources, authors should provide appropriate attribution consistent with recognized journalistic standards and applicable copyright laws.
The use of artificial intelligence as an editorial assistance tool does not eliminate the author's responsibility to produce original, accurate, lawful, and properly attributed work. All AI-assisted content remains subject to the SoireeNews AI Content Disclosure Policy.
ARTICLE 6 – CONTENT QUALITY STANDARDS
Monetized content should demonstrate professional writing, factual accuracy, editorial responsibility, and meaningful value for readers. Articles should be well organized, supported by credible information, free from material grammatical errors, and prepared in accordance with accepted journalistic practices.
Content intended primarily to generate artificial clicks without providing meaningful informational value may be excluded from monetization. Similarly, articles containing misleading headlines, deceptive formatting, excessive repetition, keyword stuffing, hidden text, automated spam, or other manipulative practices may be disqualified from earning revenue.
Editorial quality assessments may consider originality, readability, sourcing, structure, factual reliability, compliance history, reader engagement, and overall contribution to the objectives of the SoireeNews Platform.
ARTICLE 7 – REVENUE SOURCES
Revenue distributed through the Author Monetization Program may originate from several lawful business activities operated by SoireeNews. These sources may include display advertising, native advertising, video advertising, newsletter sponsorships, sponsored content, affiliate marketing programs, content licensing, premium subscriptions, promotional partnerships, commercial publishing services, and other legitimate revenue streams developed by the Company.
Not every revenue source will apply equally to every article or every author. Revenue availability may vary depending upon advertiser demand, geographic audience, content category, seasonal market conditions, advertising inventory, platform performance, and other commercial factors beyond the control of individual authors.
The specific business methods, advertising algorithms, revenue allocation formulas, commercial relationships, and internal financial calculations used by SoireeNews constitute confidential and proprietary business information and may be modified by the Company at its discretion.
ARTICLE 8 – REVENUE CALCULATION
Author earnings are determined using proprietary revenue allocation methodologies established by SoireeNews. Revenue calculations may consider numerous factors, including legitimate page views, reader engagement, session duration, advertising impressions, advertiser demand, geographic audience characteristics, advertising inventory availability, premium content participation, content category, compliance history, fraud detection systems, and other performance indicators determined appropriate by the Company.
Only valid, legitimate, and properly verified activity shall qualify for monetization. Artificial traffic, automated visits, click farms, traffic exchanges, bots, self-generated views, incentivized clicks, fraudulent engagement, or any other attempt to manipulate Platform metrics shall be excluded from revenue calculations and may result in disciplinary action.
Revenue calculations are based solely upon records maintained by SoireeNews. The Company's accounting systems, fraud detection systems, advertising reporting tools, and internal performance metrics shall serve as the authoritative basis for determining eligible earnings under the Program. Authors acknowledge that revenue estimates displayed within dashboards may be preliminary and subject to adjustment before final payment processing.
ARTICLE 9 – ELIGIBLE VIEWS AND READER ENGAGEMENT
Author earnings are based upon legitimate reader engagement generated through original content published on the SoireeNews Platform. Eligible engagement consists of genuine interactions by real users who access articles through lawful means and who engage with the content in a natural manner. Revenue calculations may consider valid page views, advertising impressions, reading duration, audience retention, article completion rates, reader interaction, geographic advertising demand, and other proprietary engagement metrics established by SoireeNews.
Not every page view automatically qualifies for monetization. Only activity verified through the Company's fraud detection systems and advertising reporting tools shall be considered eligible for revenue allocation. The Company reserves the right to exclude views that cannot be authenticated or that fail to satisfy internal quality and fraud prevention standards.
The specific algorithms, formulas, weighting factors, and engagement calculations used by SoireeNews constitute confidential proprietary information and may be modified from time to time without prior notice in order to improve the fairness, accuracy, and sustainability of the Author Monetization Program.
ARTICLE 10 – INVALID TRAFFIC AND FRAUD PREVENTION
Protecting advertisers and maintaining a fair monetization system require strict enforcement against fraudulent traffic and artificial engagement. Authors shall not directly or indirectly generate artificial page views, automated traffic, click fraud, bot traffic, incentivized clicks, paid traffic schemes, traffic exchanges, click farms, refresh scripts, multiple account abuse, automated browsing software, or any other activity intended to manipulate advertising performance or revenue calculations.
Authors shall not encourage friends, family members, employees, contractors, or third parties to repeatedly access articles for the purpose of artificially increasing advertising revenue. Likewise, authors may not purchase traffic, use deceptive promotional techniques, manipulate search rankings through prohibited methods, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of the Platform's advertising systems.
SoireeNews continuously monitors user activity through automated fraud detection systems, security monitoring technologies, behavioral analysis, and manual review. Where fraudulent activity is detected or reasonably suspected, the Company may invalidate affected traffic, adjust earnings, suspend payment processing, remove monetization privileges, suspend or terminate accounts, recover improperly paid funds, or pursue other remedies permitted by applicable law.
Participation in fraudulent activity may result in permanent removal from the Author Monetization Program without prior notice.
ARTICLE 11 – PAYMENT THRESHOLDS
Authors become eligible to request payment only after accumulating a minimum approved balance of Fifty United States Dollars (USD $50.00) in verified earnings. Earnings displayed within an author's dashboard may remain preliminary until final validation has been completed by SoireeNews. Only finalized and approved earnings shall count toward the minimum payment threshold.
Payment requests submitted before the minimum threshold has been reached shall not be processed. Any verified earnings below the minimum payment amount shall automatically remain in the author's account and continue to accumulate until the minimum threshold is satisfied.
SoireeNews reserves the right to modify the minimum payment threshold in the future where reasonably necessary because of changes in payment processing costs, banking regulations, operational expenses, business requirements, or legal obligations. Any material modification shall be communicated through appropriate Platform notifications before taking effect.
ARTICLE 12 – PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Verified earnings may be withdrawn only through the official payment request process established by SoireeNews. To maintain consistent accounting procedures and financial controls, payment requests may be submitted only twice each calendar month, specifically on the fifteenth (15th) day of the month and on the final calendar day of the month.
Payment requests submitted on any other date shall remain pending until the next available payment request date. Once a payment request has been submitted, SoireeNews will review the request, verify account eligibility, validate earnings, conduct fraud prevention checks, confirm compliance with applicable policies, and process payment in accordance with internal accounting procedures.
Approved payments are generally expected to be processed within a commercially reasonable period following successful completion of verification and financial review. Actual payment delivery times may vary depending upon banking systems, payment providers, public holidays, regulatory reviews, technical issues, currency conversion requirements, or other operational circumstances beyond the reasonable control of SoireeNews.
The Company reserves the right to temporarily delay payments whenever additional verification is reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, policy violations, security concerns, disputed earnings, legal requirements, or financial compliance matters.
ARTICLE 13 – PAYMENT METHODS
SoireeNews may make author payments through one or more approved payment methods, including bank transfers, electronic funds transfers, digital payment services, online payment platforms, or other payment systems designated by the Company. The payment methods available to individual authors may vary depending upon geographic location, applicable banking regulations, payment provider availability, currency restrictions, tax requirements, and operational considerations.
Authors are solely responsible for providing complete, accurate, and current payment information. Incorrect banking information, outdated payment details, invalid account numbers, or inaccurate recipient information may result in delayed payments, rejected transactions, additional processing costs, or other payment complications.
Where payment providers impose service charges, currency conversion fees, intermediary banking fees, transaction costs, or similar expenses, such charges may be deducted in accordance with the policies of the applicable financial institution or payment provider unless otherwise stated by SoireeNews.
ARTICLE 14 – TAXES AND FINANCIAL REPORTING
Authors participating in the Author Monetization Program are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes, duties, levies, withholding obligations, social security contributions, or other governmental charges arising from earnings received through the Program. Participation in the Program does not create an employer-employee relationship, and SoireeNews generally does not provide tax advice or assume responsibility for an author's individual tax obligations.
Where required by applicable law, SoireeNews may request tax identification numbers, taxpayer certification forms, withholding documentation, business registration records, or other financial information necessary to comply with legal reporting requirements. Failure to provide required documentation may result in delayed payments, withholding of earnings, suspension of monetization privileges, or other actions required by applicable law.
The Company reserves the right to comply with all applicable tax reporting, withholding, recordkeeping, and financial compliance obligations imposed by governmental authorities in the jurisdictions in which it operates.
ARTICLE 15 – REVENUE ADJUSTMENTS
Earnings displayed within an author's account may be adjusted before final payment where reasonably necessary to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Author Monetization Program. Revenue adjustments may occur because of invalid traffic detection, advertiser refunds, fraudulent activity, billing corrections, technical errors, duplicate reporting, accounting reconciliations, policy violations, currency conversion adjustments, or other legitimate business reasons.
Where significant adjustments occur, SoireeNews may provide reasonable information regarding the nature of the adjustment while protecting confidential business information, fraud detection methodologies, advertiser confidentiality, and proprietary revenue calculation systems.
Authors acknowledge that preliminary earnings displayed within reporting dashboards are estimates only and remain subject to final verification before payment approval.
ARTICLE 16 – PAYMENT DISPUTES
Authors who believe that a payment calculation, revenue adjustment, payment delay, or other monetization determination contains an error may submit a written payment dispute through the official support procedures established by SoireeNews. Payment disputes should be submitted within a reasonable period after the relevant transaction and should include sufficient information to allow meaningful review of the claim.
Upon receipt of a payment dispute, SoireeNews may review internal accounting records, advertising reports, fraud detection findings, payment logs, compliance records, and other relevant information reasonably necessary to evaluate the dispute. The Company may request additional documentation from the author where appropriate.
Following completion of the review, SoireeNews may confirm the original calculation, approve an adjustment, deny the dispute, or take any other action consistent with this Policy and applicable law. The Company's determination shall be based upon its official accounting records, fraud prevention systems, and verified financial data. Nothing in this Article limits any rights or remedies available to either party under applicable law or under the SoireeNews Terms and Conditions.
