Our Campaign Must Be Devoid Of Character Assassination; Atiwa West NDC Secretary Hopeful Outlines United Front And Ambitious Vision

Candidates from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) contesting various executive positions in the Atiwa West Constituency in the Eastern Region have pledged to run clean campaigns.

They emphasized that the party must emerge stronger after the internal contest, noting that whoever wins will need the support of all aspirants to secure total victory in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking on behalf of his team after their vetting session at Kwabeng, Mr. Obeng Richard—an aspirant for the Constituency Secretary position—appealed to other candidates to focus on issue-based campaigning rather than personal attacks.

Addressing party faithful, elders, and supporters, he called for unity and mutual understanding, stating that the party cannot achieve its goals without a united front.

According to him, preparations for the 2028 elections must begin at the constituency level to contribute to national electoral success, protect the legacy of President John Dramani Mahama, and effectively prepare the party for the 2028 campaign.

Furthermore, Mr. Obeng promised that his team and supporters would run a clean campaign free of insults and violence.

He urged supporters of opposing candidates to do the same, stressing that internal elections should strengthen the party rather than divide it.

He concluded by emphasizing that unity, discipline, and teamwork are essential to building the party and ultimately winning the Atiwa West Parliamentary Seat for the NDC.

Antoh Theodore Lucky, the aspiring NDC constituency organizer for Atiwa West, seized the opportunity to appeal to delegates for their votes.

He asked for a mandate to serve, with the objective of working relentlessly to secure the Atiwa West parliamentary seat and positioning the NDC for victory in future elections.
