ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE OF THESE COMMUNITY STANDARDS
The purpose of these Community Standards is to establish the principles, expectations, and rules governing participation on the SoireeNews Platform. As a global digital news platform dedicated to responsible journalism and meaningful public discourse, SoireeNews seeks to provide an environment where readers, authors, editors, advertisers, publishers, business partners, and other users can exchange information in a manner that is lawful, respectful, accurate, and trustworthy.
These Community Standards are intended to protect the integrity of the Platform, safeguard users from harmful conduct, promote ethical journalism, encourage civil discussion, and preserve public confidence in the information published through SoireeNews. Every user who accesses or uses any SoireeNews service is expected to comply with these standards in addition to the SoireeNews Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy (DMCA), and all other applicable Platform policies.
These Community Standards apply to all content published, uploaded, shared, submitted, distributed, or otherwise made available through SoireeNews, including news articles, editorials, opinion pieces, investigative reports, comments, photographs, videos, audio recordings, advertisements, sponsored content, user profiles, private messages where applicable, and all other forms of communication occurring on the Platform.
ARTICLE 2 – OUR COMMUNITY VALUES
SoireeNews believes that a successful news platform depends upon integrity, accountability, transparency, professionalism, and mutual respect. Every participant contributes to the quality and credibility of the Platform. Users are expected to interact with others honestly, respectfully, and responsibly while recognizing that journalism plays an essential role in informing the public.
We encourage thoughtful discussion, diverse viewpoints, and constructive criticism. Healthy disagreement is an important part of democratic discourse; however, disagreement must never become harassment, intimidation, defamation, or abuse. Users should challenge ideas rather than attack individuals and should contribute to conversations in ways that promote understanding rather than hostility.
Authors and contributors are expected to uphold recognized principles of responsible journalism by verifying information before publication, correcting material errors promptly, identifying reliable sources, distinguishing factual reporting from opinion, and avoiding sensationalism intended to mislead readers.
ARTICLE 3 – APPLICATION OF THESE STANDARDS
These Community Standards apply equally to all users of SoireeNews, including visitors, registered users, readers, subscribers, journalists, authors, editors, moderators, publishers, advertisers, sponsors, contractors, affiliates, business partners, and employees. Compliance with these standards is a condition of using the Platform.
Because users participate in different capacities, some provisions may apply differently depending on the services used. Authors are subject to additional editorial and publishing standards. Advertisers must comply with advertising requirements. Moderators and editors must apply these standards fairly, consistently, and in good faith while exercising reasonable editorial judgment.
Users are responsible not only for the content they publish directly but also for the content submitted through accounts under their control. Users must ensure that their conduct complies with applicable laws and does not infringe upon the rights of others.
ARTICLE 4 – RESPECTFUL CONDUCT
Every user has the right to participate in the SoireeNews community without being subjected to unlawful harassment, intimidation, abuse, or discrimination. Users are expected to communicate respectfully even when discussing controversial topics or expressing strongly held opinions.
Respectful conduct includes engaging honestly with others, avoiding unnecessary personal attacks, acknowledging differing viewpoints, and participating in discussions in good faith. Users should not attempt to silence, intimidate, or humiliate other participants through abusive language, repeated hostile behavior, or coordinated campaigns intended to discourage participation.
Constructive criticism of public officials, businesses, organizations, institutions, news reporting, and editorial decisions is encouraged when presented respectfully and supported by factual information or reasoned opinion.
ARTICLE 5 – ETHICAL JOURNALISM
Authors publishing on SoireeNews are expected to maintain high standards of journalistic integrity. Every article should be prepared with reasonable care, professional diligence, and respect for the public interest. Authors should verify facts before publication, seek reliable and independent sources where possible, accurately represent quotations, distinguish verified information from speculation, and avoid intentionally misleading headlines or presentations.
Opinion articles, editorials, commentary, satire, and sponsored content should be clearly identified so readers can distinguish them from factual news reporting. Authors should promptly cooperate with the editorial staff when factual corrections, clarifications, or retractions become necessary.
The publication of fabricated interviews, manipulated evidence, knowingly false statements, or intentionally deceptive reporting constitutes a serious violation of these Community Standards and may result in immediate enforcement action, including permanent removal from the Platform.
ARTICLE 6 – ACCURACY AND FACT VERIFICATION
Accuracy is fundamental to maintaining public trust. Users publishing factual information are expected to make reasonable efforts to verify its accuracy before publication. Verification may include reviewing official records, interviewing knowledgeable sources, consulting recognized experts, reviewing publicly available documentation, or, where appropriate, confirming information through multiple reliable sources.
Where information cannot be independently verified before publication, authors should clearly disclose the limitations of the available information. Rumors, speculation, and unverified allegations should never be presented as established fact. If material inaccuracies are discovered after publication, authors are expected to notify SoireeNews promptly and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions where appropriate.
Repeated publication of demonstrably false information may result in editorial review, content removal, suspension of publishing privileges, monetization restrictions, or permanent account termination.
ARTICLE 7 – PROHIBITED CONTENT
To protect users and maintain the integrity of the Platform, certain categories of content are prohibited. Users may not publish content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, plagiarized, intentionally deceptive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inconsistent with these Community Standards.
Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to, knowingly false news reports, fabricated evidence, impersonation, copyright infringement, identity theft, malicious software, fraudulent investment schemes, phishing attempts, deceptive advertising, coordinated disinformation campaigns, unlawful disclosure of confidential information, and content promoting criminal activity or violence.
SoireeNews reserves the right to remove prohibited content immediately upon discovery or notification and may suspend or permanently terminate accounts responsible for serious or repeated violations.
ARTICLE 8 – ENFORCEMENT OF COMMUNITY STANDARDS
SoireeNews is committed to enforcing these Community Standards consistently, fairly, and in good faith. Enforcement decisions may be based upon the seriousness of the violation, the user's history of compliance, the potential harm caused, legal obligations, public safety concerns, and the need to preserve the integrity of the Platform.
Enforcement actions may include educational notices, warnings, temporary restrictions, removal of content, suspension of commenting privileges, suspension of publishing privileges, monetization restrictions, account suspension, permanent account termination, or referral to appropriate legal authorities where required by law.
Nothing contained in these Community Standards obligates SoireeNews to provide advance notice before taking enforcement action when immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with legal obligations, preserve evidence, prevent fraud, or maintain the security and integrity of the Platform.
ARTICLE 9 – ANTI-HARASSMENT AND ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
SoireeNews is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and safe environment where readers, authors, editors, advertisers, publishers, business partners, and all members of the community may participate without fear of harassment, intimidation, or abuse. Harassment and bullying undermine meaningful public discussion, discourage participation, and damage the integrity of the Platform. Accordingly, SoireeNews maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward conduct that intentionally intimidates, threatens, humiliates, or repeatedly targets another individual or organization.
Harassment may occur through written communications, comments, articles, private messages where available, images, videos, audio recordings, or any other form of communication on the Platform. Conduct may be considered harassment when it involves repeated unwanted contact, personal attacks, abusive language, threats, intimidation, stalking, coordinated efforts to shame or isolate another individual, or persistent behavior that creates a hostile or unsafe environment. Bullying includes repeated hostile conduct intended to ridicule, embarrass, degrade, or emotionally harm another person, whether directly or indirectly.
Constructive criticism, public debate, investigative reporting, and fair commentary concerning public issues, public officials, organizations, or matters of legitimate public interest are permitted when presented responsibly and without unlawful harassment. However, users must distinguish criticism of ideas or actions from attacks directed at individuals.
SoireeNews reserves the right to investigate reports of harassment and bullying and may remove offending content, restrict platform privileges, suspend accounts, permanently terminate accounts, or report unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.
ARTICLE 10 – HATE SPEECH AND DISCRIMINATION
SoireeNews supports freedom of expression while recognizing that such freedom carries corresponding responsibilities. The Platform does not permit content that promotes hatred, discrimination, dehumanization, or violence against individuals or groups based upon legally protected characteristics. Respectful discussion of religion, politics, culture, history, immigration, public policy, and social issues remains permissible provided that such discussions do not encourage hatred, violence, or unlawful discrimination.
Content may violate this policy where it advocates violence, celebrates harm, encourages exclusion, dehumanizes protected groups, or intentionally promotes hostility toward persons based upon race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, age, or other legally protected characteristics under applicable law.
News reporting, academic discussion, historical documentation, and responsible journalism addressing discrimination, extremism, hate crimes, or controversial public issues may be permitted where the content serves a legitimate informational purpose and is presented with appropriate editorial context. Editorial review may consider the overall purpose, public interest, journalistic value, and context of the publication when determining compliance with this policy.
Any user found intentionally promoting hatred, unlawful discrimination, or violent extremism may be subject to immediate enforcement action, including permanent removal from the Platform.
ARTICLE 11 – VIOLENCE, THREATS, AND CRIMINAL CONDUCT
The safety of our users and the public is a priority for SoireeNews. Users may not publish, distribute, encourage, or otherwise facilitate content that threatens violence, promotes criminal conduct, incites unlawful acts, or creates an immediate risk of harm to individuals or communities.
Prohibited conduct includes direct threats of physical violence, credible threats against public officials or private individuals, encouragement of terrorist activities, instructions for committing serious crimes, extortion, organized criminal activity, human trafficking, kidnapping, unlawful weapons trafficking, or any communication intended to facilitate criminal behavior.
Reporting on crime, terrorism, armed conflict, law enforcement activities, public safety incidents, or criminal investigations is permitted where such reporting serves a legitimate journalistic purpose. Authors are expected to present such information accurately, responsibly, and without glorifying criminal behavior or encouraging unlawful conduct.
Where SoireeNews reasonably believes that content presents an imminent threat to life, safety, or public security, the Platform reserves the right to remove such content immediately, suspend the responsible account, preserve relevant evidence, and cooperate with appropriate law enforcement agencies consistent with applicable law.
ARTICLE 12 – CHILD SAFETY AND PROTECTION
SoireeNews is firmly committed to protecting children from exploitation, abuse, endangerment, and unlawful conduct. The Platform prohibits any content that exploits, sexualizes, endangers, or otherwise harms minors. This prohibition applies regardless of the form of the content, including text, images, videos, audio recordings, comments, advertisements, user profiles, or any other communication made available through the Platform.
Users may not publish, distribute, request, promote, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, child exploitation, grooming behavior, trafficking involving minors, or content intended to exploit or endanger children. Users may not use SoireeNews to contact minors for unlawful purposes or to encourage activities that place children at risk.
Journalistic reporting concerning child welfare, missing children, child abuse investigations, education, family law, juvenile justice, or similar matters may be permitted where publication serves a legitimate public interest and complies with applicable privacy laws. Authors are expected to exercise heightened care when reporting matters involving minors and should avoid publishing identifying information where disclosure could reasonably endanger a child or violate applicable law.
Where SoireeNews becomes aware of content that may involve child exploitation or other serious crimes involving minors, the Platform reserves the right to remove such content immediately, terminate responsible accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate fully with competent law enforcement authorities.
ARTICLE 13 – PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Respect for personal privacy is essential to maintaining trust within the SoireeNews community. Users are expected to respect the privacy rights of others and must not publish personal information in a manner that violates applicable law or creates an unreasonable risk of harm.
Without lawful authority or a legitimate journalistic justification, users may not publish confidential personal information, including home addresses, private telephone numbers, personal email addresses, financial account information, government-issued identification numbers, medical records, confidential communications, passwords, authentication credentials, or other sensitive personal information. Users must also refrain from engaging in "doxxing," which includes the intentional disclosure of personal information for the purpose of intimidation, harassment, retaliation, or encouraging abuse by others.
Responsible journalism may require reporting on matters involving identifiable individuals. Authors are expected to balance the public interest against individual privacy rights, consider applicable legal protections, and exercise sound editorial judgment before publishing personal information. Where practical and lawful, unnecessary personal details should be omitted or minimized.
SoireeNews reserves the right to remove content that unlawfully discloses personal information or otherwise creates significant privacy risks.
ARTICLE 14 – DEFAMATION AND REPUTATION PROTECTION
SoireeNews recognizes both the importance of freedom of expression and the legal rights of individuals and organizations to protect their reputations. Authors and users must exercise reasonable care to ensure that statements presented as factual are accurate, supported by reliable information, and published in good faith.
Users may not knowingly publish false statements that unlawfully damage the reputation of another person, business, organization, or institution. Allegations of criminal conduct, professional misconduct, corruption, fraud, or other serious wrongdoing should be supported by appropriate evidence or clearly identified as allegations where applicable. Rumors, speculation, anonymous accusations lacking verification, fabricated evidence, or manipulated information should never be presented as established fact.
Opinion, commentary, satire, and fair criticism are generally permitted when clearly presented as opinion rather than factual reporting. Authors are encouraged to distinguish factual reporting from personal viewpoints to reduce the risk of misunderstanding.
Complaints alleging defamation may be reviewed by SoireeNews, and the Platform may request supporting documentation, conduct editorial review, issue corrections or clarifications, remove content, or take other appropriate enforcement measures where warranted.
ARTICLE 15 – FAKE NEWS, MISINFORMATION, AND DISINFORMATION
Maintaining public confidence in the accuracy of published information is central to the mission of SoireeNews. Authors and users are expected to publish truthful, well-sourced, and responsibly verified information whenever presenting factual claims.
Knowingly publishing fabricated news reports, falsified evidence, invented quotations, manipulated documents, false eyewitness accounts, or other intentionally deceptive content constitutes a serious violation of these Community Standards. Users should make reasonable efforts to verify information before publication and should identify reputable sources whenever possible. Where information remains uncertain, the limitations of available evidence should be clearly disclosed.
SoireeNews distinguishes between misinformation and disinformation. Misinformation generally refers to false or inaccurate information shared without intent to deceive, while disinformation refers to false information deliberately created or distributed to mislead readers, manipulate public opinion, influence events, or cause harm. Both may be subject to editorial review, although intentional disinformation may result in more severe enforcement actions.
When material inaccuracies are identified, SoireeNews may request corrections, publish clarifications, reduce distribution of misleading content, remove offending material, suspend publishing privileges, terminate accounts, or take other measures necessary to protect readers and preserve journalistic integrity.
ARTICLE 16 – MANIPULATED MEDIA AND DEEPFAKES
Advances in artificial intelligence and digital editing technologies have increased the ability to create highly realistic but misleading images, audio recordings, videos, and other forms of synthetic media. To preserve public trust, SoireeNews requires transparency whenever manipulated or synthetic media is published.
Users may not publish manipulated media the deceive readers about actual events, falsely represent individuals, fabricate evidence, impersonate public officials, or mislead the public on matters of legitimate public interest. Artificially generated images, videos, voice recordings, or other synthetic media intended for journalistic use should be clearly disclosed whenever necessary to avoid misleading readers.
Manipulated media may be acceptable for satire, artistic expression, educational purposes, or technical demonstrations when appropriately labeled and unlikely to mislead reasonable readers. Editorial staff may require additional disclosures, contextual information, or explanatory notices before permitting publication.
Where manipulated media creates a significant risk of public deception, reputational harm, election interference, financial fraud, or threats to public safety, SoireeNews reserves the right to remove the content immediately and take appropriate enforcement action against the responsible account.
