ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
The purpose of this AI Content Disclosure Policy is to establish the standards governing the responsible use, disclosure, review, publication, and management of content created or assisted by artificial intelligence technologies on the SoireeNews Platform. As advances in artificial intelligence continue to transform journalism, publishing, media production, and digital communications, SoireeNews recognizes both the opportunities and the risks associated with the use of AI tools. This Policy is intended to preserve public trust, protect editorial integrity, promote transparency, and ensure that readers can distinguish between content generated primarily through human editorial judgment and content that has been created or materially assisted by artificial intelligence systems.
Artificial intelligence can improve productivity, assist with language editing, summarize information, generate ideas, translate text, organize research, and support other editorial activities. However, AI systems may also produce inaccurate information, fabricated quotations, fictional references, misleading conclusions, biased outputs, manipulated media, or other content that does not satisfy recognized standards of responsible journalism. Accordingly, SoireeNews requires that all AI-assisted content remain subject to meaningful human review before publication.
This Policy applies to every author, editor, journalist, contributor, moderator, publisher, advertiser, contractor, business partner, employee, and other individual who creates, edits, reviews, approves, or publishes content through the SoireeNews Platform.
ARTICLE 2 – SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Policy governs every form of content published through SoireeNews that has been created, modified, translated, enhanced, summarized, edited, illustrated, narrated, or otherwise materially influenced by artificial intelligence technologies. The Policy applies regardless of whether the AI system is publicly available, commercially licensed, privately developed, or integrated directly into the SoireeNews Platform.
Covered content includes, without limitation, news articles, investigative reports, editorials, opinion pieces, interviews, newsletters, headlines, captions, summaries, photographs, illustrations, videos, audio recordings, podcasts, transcripts, infographics, advertisements, sponsored content, social media posts, comments generated through automated systems, and every other form of editorial or commercial content distributed through the Platform.
This Policy applies equally to content produced entirely by artificial intelligence, content partially assisted by artificial intelligence, and content substantially rewritten or edited using AI technologies.
ARTICLE 3 – PRINCIPLES OF RESPONSIBLE AI USE
SoireeNews believes that artificial intelligence should enhance journalism rather than replace responsible editorial judgment. Human accountability remains the foundation of every published article, regardless of the tools used during the editorial process. Artificial intelligence shall be treated as an editorial assistance technology rather than an independent author, journalist, editor, or publisher.
Every person using artificial intelligence within the SoireeNews Platform remains personally responsible for the accuracy, fairness, legality, originality, and ethical integrity of the resulting content. The use of AI does not reduce or transfer an author's professional responsibilities. Authors must independently verify factual statements, quotations, statistics, dates, references, and other information before publication.
Editorial decisions involving newsworthiness, public interest, fairness, corrections, legal review, source evaluation, and publication approval shall remain under meaningful human control at all times.
ARTICLE 4 – DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this Policy, "Artificial Intelligence" or "AI" refers to computer systems capable of generating, modifying, analyzing, translating, summarizing, classifying, or otherwise producing text, images, audio, video, software, or other digital content through machine learning, generative models, large language models, neural networks, or similar computational technologies.
"AI-Assisted Content" refers to any material in which artificial intelligence has materially contributed to drafting, editing, translating, rewriting, summarizing, organizing, illustrating, narrating, generating, or otherwise producing content that is ultimately published by SoireeNews.
"Human Review" means meaningful evaluation conducted by a qualified editor, journalist, or authorized reviewer who independently verifies factual accuracy, legal compliance, editorial quality, and consistency with SoireeNews policies before publication.
"Disclosure" means informing readers, where required by this Policy, that artificial intelligence materially contributed to the creation of published content.
ARTICLE 5 – PERMITTED USES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
SoireeNews permits responsible use of artificial intelligence for legitimate editorial purposes that improve efficiency without compromising journalistic integrity. AI technologies may be used to assist with grammar correction, spelling improvements, language translation, formatting, headline brainstorming, summarization of verified information, transcription of interviews, organization of research materials, keyword generation, search optimization, accessibility improvements, language simplification, and similar editorial support functions.
Artificial intelligence may also assist with data organization, workflow automation, translation between languages, caption generation, metadata creation, content categorization, and other operational tasks that do not replace independent editorial judgment.
The use of AI for these purposes does not eliminate the requirement for thorough human review. Every published article must ultimately reflect responsible editorial oversight and compliance with all applicable SoireeNews policies.
ARTICLE 6 – PROHIBITED USES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Artificial intelligence may not be used to fabricate news, invent interviews, generate fictional eyewitness accounts, create false quotations, manufacture evidence, impersonate individuals, manipulate public opinion through deceptive practices, or otherwise produce content intended to mislead readers regarding matters of public interest.
Authors shall not rely upon artificial intelligence to generate factual assertions without independent verification. AI-generated references, citations, statistics, legal conclusions, scientific claims, historical information, medical advice, financial recommendations, or quotations must be verified through reliable independent sources before publication.
Artificial intelligence shall not be used to conceal plagiarism, rewrite copyrighted material without authorization, generate defamatory content, create malicious deepfakes, falsify government documents, fabricate investigative reporting, manipulate images for deceptive purposes, or engage in any activity prohibited by law or by SoireeNews policies.
Violations of this Policy may result in removal of content, suspension of publishing privileges, termination of monetization eligibility, account suspension, permanent account termination, legal action, or any other enforcement measure deemed appropriate by SoireeNews.
ARTICLE 7 – HUMAN EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Every article published through SoireeNews must have a clearly identifiable human author or responsible editor who accepts full responsibility for the published work. Artificial intelligence cannot be identified as the legal author of news content and may not replace human accountability under this Policy.
Editors and authors are responsible for reviewing AI-assisted content carefully before publication. Such review should include verification of factual accuracy, evaluation of context, identification of potential bias, review of quotations, confirmation of source reliability, assessment of legal risks, and compliance with applicable editorial standards.
The responsibility for errors, omissions, copyright infringement, privacy violations, defamation, misinformation, or other legal or ethical issues arising from AI-assisted content remains solely with the responsible human author or editor and does not transfer to SoireeNews or to the artificial intelligence system used during content creation.
ARTICLE 8 – DISCLOSURE TO READERS
Transparency regarding the use of artificial intelligence promotes reader confidence and supports informed evaluation of published information. Where artificial intelligence has materially contributed to the creation of an article, illustration, audio recording, video, or other published work, SoireeNews may require an appropriate disclosure informing readers of the role artificial intelligence played during the editorial process.
Disclosure may be appropriate where AI generated substantial portions of text, created images or illustrations, translated articles, summarized lengthy documents, generated narration, or otherwise materially influenced the published content. Minor editorial assistance involving spelling correction, grammar improvement, formatting, or routine editing generally does not require public disclosure unless otherwise determined by editorial policy.
The form, placement, wording, and necessity of disclosures shall be determined by SoireeNews based upon the nature of the AI assistance provided, applicable legal requirements, evolving industry standards, and the reasonable expectations of readers. Disclosure under this Policy does not imply reduced editorial responsibility; all published content remains subject to the same standards of accuracy, fairness, legality, and accountability regardless of whether artificial intelligence assisted in its creation.
ARTICLE 9 – AI-GENERATED IMAGES, VIDEO, AND AUDIO
Artificial intelligence technologies are increasingly capable of producing realistic images, illustrations, audio recordings, voice narrations, animations, and videos. While SoireeNews recognizes that these technologies may assist journalism, education, accessibility, and creative storytelling, their use must never compromise editorial integrity or mislead readers regarding the authenticity of published material.
Any image, video, audio recording, illustration, animation, or multimedia content that is wholly or substantially generated by artificial intelligence shall be subject to meaningful human review before publication. Editors and authors are responsible for ensuring that AI-generated media accurately represents the purpose for which it is published and does not create a false impression regarding real people, events, locations, documents, or historical occurrences.
Whenever AI-generated media is used to illustrate hypothetical scenarios, artistic concepts, simulations, historical reconstructions, educational demonstrations, or other non-documentary purposes, SoireeNews may require a clear disclosure informing readers that the media was generated or substantially assisted by artificial intelligence. Such disclosures should be reasonably visible and understandable to readers so that synthetic media is not confused with authentic documentary evidence.
Artificial intelligence shall not be used to create fabricated photographs, videos, or audio recordings that falsely depict real individuals making statements, participating in events, committing acts, or appearing in locations where no such events actually occurred unless the synthetic nature of the media is clearly disclosed and its publication serves a legitimate educational, journalistic, artistic, or public-interest purpose.
ARTICLE 10 – DEEPFAKES AND SYNTHETIC MEDIA
SoireeNews recognizes that deepfake technology and other forms of synthetic media present significant ethical, legal, and journalistic challenges. Accordingly, the Platform strictly prohibits the publication of deceptive deepfakes or manipulated media intended to mislead readers, damage reputations, interfere with elections, fabricate evidence, impersonate individuals, commit fraud, or otherwise deceive the public regarding matters of public importance.
Synthetic media may be published only when its purpose is legitimate, its use is clearly disclosed where appropriate, and reasonable safeguards are implemented to prevent public deception. Examples may include educational demonstrations, technology reporting, scientific research, clearly identified satire, artistic works, or visual reconstructions that cannot reasonably be mistaken for authentic documentary evidence.
Editors shall carefully evaluate the potential risks associated with publishing synthetic media, including the possibility of misinformation, reputational harm, public confusion, privacy violations, or unlawful deception. SoireeNews reserves the right to reject, remove, label, restrict, or otherwise modify synthetic media whenever publication would reasonably threaten public trust, legal compliance, or editorial integrity.
ARTICLE 11 – FACT-CHECKING AI-ASSISTED CONTENT
Artificial intelligence systems may generate convincing but inaccurate information, including fabricated quotations, nonexistent sources, incorrect legal citations, false historical claims, inaccurate statistics, and fictional references commonly referred to as "hallucinations." Consequently, no AI-generated factual statement may be published solely on the basis of the output produced by an artificial intelligence system.
Authors and editors remain responsible for independently verifying all factual assertions generated or assisted by artificial intelligence before publication. Verification should include consultation of reliable primary sources, official records, reputable news organizations, academic publications, government documents, direct interviews, or other credible evidence appropriate to the subject matter.
Where independent verification cannot reasonably be completed before publication, the information should either be omitted, clearly identified as unverified, or withheld from publication until verification has been completed. Publication deadlines, production schedules, commercial considerations, or technological convenience shall never excuse the failure to verify material factual information.
Failure to conduct appropriate fact-checking before publishing AI-assisted content may constitute a violation of this Policy and may result in editorial review, mandatory corrections, suspension of publishing privileges, loss of monetization eligibility, or additional disciplinary action.
ARTICLE 12 – AI BIAS, FAIRNESS, AND NON-DISCRIMINATION
Artificial intelligence systems may reflect biases contained within their training data or algorithmic design. Accordingly, SoireeNews requires authors and editors to evaluate AI-assisted content carefully for unfair bias, discriminatory language, inaccurate stereotypes, unequal representation, or other content that could undermine fair and responsible journalism.
Editorial review should consider whether AI-generated content accurately represents individuals, communities, organizations, or public issues without introducing unnecessary prejudice or unsupported assumptions. Authors should not rely upon artificial intelligence to make editorial judgments regarding fairness, public interest, or ethical reporting.
Artificial intelligence shall not be used to generate discriminatory content, promote unlawful bias, target protected groups unfairly, manipulate public opinion through deceptive profiling, or otherwise produce material inconsistent with the Community Standards or applicable anti-discrimination laws. Editorial oversight shall remain the primary safeguard against algorithmic bias.
ARTICLE 13 – COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Authors using artificial intelligence remain fully responsible for ensuring that AI-assisted content complies with applicable copyright, trademark, publicity, licensing, and other intellectual property laws. The use of artificial intelligence does not excuse unauthorized reproduction, plagiarism, copyright infringement, or misappropriation of another person's protected work.
Authors shall not knowingly use artificial intelligence to reproduce copyrighted articles, books, photographs, illustrations, videos, software, databases, or other protected materials without proper authorization, licensing, or other lawful justification. Where AI-assisted content incorporates licensed material, the author remains responsible for complying with all applicable licensing terms and attribution requirements.
If questions arise regarding the ownership or originality of AI-generated content, SoireeNews may require authors to provide documentation demonstrating that publication complies with applicable intellectual property laws and Platform policies. The Company reserves the right to remove or refuse publication of content presenting unresolved copyright or ownership concerns.
ARTICLE 14 – PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Artificial intelligence should never be used in a manner that compromises personal privacy, confidential information, trade secrets, privileged communications, or legally protected information. Authors, editors, contractors, and employees shall exercise reasonable care to avoid submitting confidential or sensitive information into artificial intelligence systems where such use could expose information to unauthorized access or processing.
Users shall not employ artificial intelligence to generate content based upon unlawfully obtained confidential information or to reveal private personal information without lawful authority or legitimate public-interest justification. Information protected by confidentiality agreements, attorney-client privilege, medical privacy laws, court orders, or other legal restrictions shall be handled in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
SoireeNews may establish additional technical safeguards governing the use of artificial intelligence within internal editorial systems to minimize privacy risks and protect confidential information entrusted to the Platform.
ARTICLE 15 – AI USE BY AUTHORS AND JOURNALISTS
Authors and journalists may utilize artificial intelligence as an editorial assistance tool provided that its use remains consistent with this Policy and all other applicable SoireeNews policies. Artificial intelligence may assist with grammar improvement, language translation, summarization of verified information, transcription, formatting, accessibility enhancements, research organization, headline brainstorming, search optimization, and other editorial support functions.
Artificial intelligence shall not replace independent journalistic investigation, source evaluation, editorial judgment, legal review, or ethical decision-making. Every published article must remain the product of meaningful human oversight, with a responsible author or editor accepting full accountability for the final published work.
Authors should maintain appropriate records regarding significant AI assistance whenever such records may assist editorial review, correction procedures, legal compliance, or internal quality assurance. SoireeNews reserves the right to establish additional documentation requirements for AI-assisted journalism as technology and regulatory standards continue to evolve.
ARTICLE 16 – EDITORIAL REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCEDURES
Before publication, AI-assisted content shall undergo editorial review reasonably designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, journalistic ethics, Platform policies, and editorial quality standards. Review procedures should evaluate factual accuracy, source reliability, legal risks, copyright compliance, privacy considerations, fairness, disclosure obligations, and consistency with the editorial mission of SoireeNews.
Editors may require authors to revise, supplement, verify, or disclose AI-assisted content before publication. Where significant concerns remain unresolved, publication may be delayed or declined until satisfactory review has been completed. Editorial approval should not be granted solely because content was generated using advanced technological tools; rather, approval should be based upon the quality, accuracy, legality, and public value of the final human-reviewed work.
SoireeNews reserves the right to implement automated detection systems, internal audits, editorial quality reviews, or other reasonable procedures designed to identify undisclosed AI-generated content or potential violations of this Policy. Compliance with these review procedures is a condition of continued participation in the SoireeNews publishing platform and Author Monetization Program.
