He said that the scenario sparked negative rumors and gossip, which had an impact on his marriage and even led to his pastor suspending him from church.

Orji revealed this during an open chat on the 'Nollywood Hardcore: The Legend's Untold Story' podcast. Orji admitted to having problems with his wife: "Even though she's an actress, but they were putting a lot of things on her mind," he added.

He also revealed that his pastor contacted him, citing multiple worrisome complaints about the situation, and then suspended him. "My pastor invited me." Then, I served on the church's Board of Trustees. He stated that he had received too many calls from other members of the Board of Trustees.

'How could Zach do such a thing? It is scandalous. "He said he contacted me because he planned to suspend me, but he wanted to inform me first, so I was suspended for one month.

"He stated he was not going to tell anyone because it was just between us, but that I was suspended from participating in any church events at the time.

However, what was supposed to be a private matter unexpectedly became public, as word of his suspension was leaked to the media. He stated that while he was on another movie shoot, a journalist called him about the situation.

"He arrived to the site where I was filming and said, 'I just need to confirm with you before going to press. Is it true that you have been suspended from your church?"I asked, 'Who told you that?' He said, 'I'm sorry. I cannot reveal the source of my information.

"I was furious because the pastor promised me it was confidential. I went back to tell the pastor what had happened. I asked him how a journalist got to know about this. He was just looking at me he couldn’t say anything.”

Orji stated that the experience caused him to leave the church and asked that his name be removed from the Board of Trustees and any connected documents.

Although the pastor later contacted him, explaining that they had revoked the suspension and did not want him to go, Orji claimed that his decision was definite and that he had decided to move on. When asked if he had any regrets about performing the character, he responded, "No." "We looked naked, but we weren't.

She was not naked. I wasn't naked, but it was so well done because, first and foremost, as an actor, your primary job is not only to create the illusion of being someone else in the minds of the audience, but also to create believability in the minds of your audience so that whatever they see you do, they believe it is real," the actor said.

The 1994 two-part film Glamour Girls, directed by Chika Onukwufor, was noted for its contentious and provocative portrayal of sex industry and gender issues, sparking talks and debates in Nigeria.

The film had a famous cast, including Liz Benson, Ngozi Ezeonu, Pat Attah, and Ernest Obi, and had a contentious bathtub scene with Orji  and Anunobi.
