Due to the Delta flight catastrophe, I missed my function in Detroit, said Sarkodie

Famous Ghanaian musician Sarkodie has voiced his displeasure with Delta Airline following an oxygen breakdown that forced an emergency landing.

On Friday, September 9, 2023, a Delta flight from Kotoka International Airport in Accra to the USA had to make an emergency landing five hours into the trip because the aircraft's oxygen system had malfunctioned, according to an incident that Pulse Ghana was watching at the time.

Rapper Sarkodie was traveling on this trip to perform in Detroit, but due to tragic circumstances caused by Delta Airlines, he was unable to make it to the performance.

"So I missed my event in Detroit due to Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines doing an emergency landing on an island in Portugal yesterday," Sarkodie wrote in a post criticizing the airline company for cutting short his show and failing to adequately inform its customers about what was going on on board. They communicated poorly and didn't have the decency to give us a status update, which was terrible, but I know these things happen so I wasn't trippin'.

A passenger on the flight claims that the flight crew informed everyone on board that there was an oxygen problem because of a technical issue.

"There was a crew oxygen malfunction in the cockpit, and there was an oxygen malfunction. It forced us to deviate. We are here since it was the closest acceptable airport. There was no other explanation than the fact that it was the nearest acceptable airport. Currently, the order is looking for a maintenance worker. They might try to get us out of here tonight if they can fix it.
