Northern Regional Police Command grip three suspected kidnappers
The Police are investigating the case to identify victims of kidnapping or robberies to assist them.
The Northern Regional Police Command have arrested three suspected Kidnappers.
In a press briefing by the Northern Regional Commander, COP Mr Timothy Yoosa Bonga said, on May 13, 2021, around 6:27 pm the police command picked up intelligence that three suspected Kidnappers are believed to be part of a highway robbery.
The Northern Regional CID raided some two hotels on the 13th of May, 2021 at about 7:11 pm which they believed that the suspects were lodging. They arrested three people name, Yussif Mohammed 22 years, Sanda Mohammed 23 years and also Mahamadu Umar 23 years which they all believe to be Fulani herdsman.

The police conducted a search, and it revealed that Mahamadu Umar had in his possession, a machete, one Mobile phone and cash that amounted to Gh¢ 1,500. And also, Yussif Mohammed also had, three mobile phones, cash amounted to Gh¢ 1,800 and cash on his Mobile money account totalling Gh¢ 2, 561.
The suspects could not explain where such monies were obtained. They also refused to lead the police of abode for further investigations.
The police are investigating the case to identify victims of kidnapping or robberies to assist them.
The police are calling on persons who have fallen victims to kidnapping or robbery activities to come and assist in their investigation
