Detective inspector Joseph Boakye Danquah of the criminal investigation department Fomena police command,  who is the investigator for the case is happy the case has been finally brought to court for prosecution.

He explained, "I have been called by more than 5 powerful men since I started following the case it got appointed I have to switch off my phone just to protect the life of the innocent girl he said".

Adding that, he will make sure that the right is done for justice to prevail and to serve as a deterrent to individuals who have a perception of performing a similar unusual act.

The victim's mother was unhappy with today's ruling though, but she still believes justice will surely be on her side.

"some people keep mute when they encounter issues like what has happened to my daughter because of how the case might be handled by the court, hence the court should always be swift in prosecution for the lost confidence to be gained back by Ghanaians".

She however pleaded with the police,as well as the court, to be fair in prosecuting her daughter's case.
