The Executive Director for Global Intelligence and Security Analyst Centre, Samuel Nana Appiah Owusu has described the killing of the social media activist, Ibrahim Muhammed a.k.a Kaaka at Ejura as unfortunate.

Speaking on Ark in the Morning monitored by Soiree news, he said, even though it is not surprising for someone to be killed, the consistent nature of the act in the country is gradually causing fear and panic among the citizens.

Meanwhile, Police in the Ashanti Region has arrested two persons in connection with the killing. The suspects have been identified as Ibrahim Isaka and Fuseini Alhassan.

According to police, “witness accounts show that Ibrahim Muhammed was ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 1:30 am on Sunday, 27th June 2021.”

After the attack, he was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he died at midday on Monday. Sahada Hudu, Ibrahim Muhammed’s widow, found him in a pool of blood after the attack.

Meanwhile, the residents of Ejura have been staging a demonstration to demand justice for the deceased. One of the demonstrators who spoke to the media accused the Municipal Chief Executive of Ejura/Sekyere Odumase, Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba for the murder of Kaaka and the recent Military clash with the youth.

According to him, even though the deceased was an NPP man, his quest to fight for development for the Ejura community exposed the MCE’s incompetence. He disclosed that the deceased was murdered three days after the MCE sent his folks to warn him to stop his attacks aimed towards him.

They want justice to be served to their late colleague and brother.

Meanwhile, two persons have been confirmed dead with nine injured and in critical condition after the Military clash with the demonstrators at Ejura.
