Be Calm; Adama Latse Will Take Over Both Ga Royal Stool House And Palace Soon!—Tackie Kommey Tells People Of Ga State

Nii Tackie Kommey, Spokesperson for His Royal Majesty Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, one of the claimants to the Ga Royal Paramount Stool has denied allegations that King Tackie Adama has hinted of the legal and lawful preparations of the accredited elders, heads of families and principal kingmakers of Ga Royal Paramount Stool to ensure that Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II reoccupy both the Stool House and the Ga Mantse Palace to adjudicate cases of traditional and community importance.

In this regard, Honourable Kommey called
on all the citizens of the Ga and Dangbe communities to remain calm, saying that the accredited elders and kingmakers of Ga Royal Paramount Stool have almost finished the legal battles on the Ga Mantse Chieftaincy dispute.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews com, Honourable Kommey who is the senior royal citizen of the Ga State denied the viral media reports suggesting that the Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi-Bonte II, has single-handedly installed Adama Latse II as a Ga Msntse.

He noted that although Gbese Mantse has played his roles in the installation of Adama Latse II as the Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council, he was not the one who installed Adama Latse as a Ga Mantse..

Continuing, the Ga spokesperson emphasised that Adama Latse II was properly enstooled by the kingmakers in accordance with Ga customary and traditional practices to succeed the late substantive Ga Mantse [Paramount Chief of Ga State], Nii Boni Amigi Sroosi II known in his private as  Simon Nii Yarboi Yartey who was born in June 8, 1940 and died in December 10, 2004 after reigning the stool for 39 years.

He stated that the traditional and customarily rites were performed in the Ga Stool Room and, among others, he swore the Oath of fidelity (Kitakamo) at Amugi Naa and it was responded to by the Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayibonte II, on behalf of ‘Gamei’ as custom demanded.

Honourable Kommey who dared Dr Kelvin Tackie to challenge him stressed Dr Kelvin Tackie had earlier been vetted and rejected by the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase in preference for King Tackie Adama Latse II.
"So Dr Kelvin Nii Tackie he should know that he has been defeated ones for fighting for the position of the candidacy of the Ga Royal Paramount Stool and you know what God can do.So long and behold when the right time comes, King Tackie Adama Latse II would take over his position as the legitimate Ga Mantse," because Dr Kelvin Nii Tackie himself know that it is not his turn to be installed Ga Mantse to succeed the late substantive Ga Mantse, Boni Nii Amugi Sroosi II who died in December 10, 2004," he assured.

According to him, Boni Tackie Adama Latse II
was nominated, elected and enstooled in accordance with the customs, traditions, conventions and usages of the Ga State in 2011.

"It is the historical fact Boni Tackie Adama Latse II was lawfully ascending the Ga Royal Paramount black stool of untill when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is elected into political power, because Dr Kelvin Nii Tackie is a member of the NPP, some self seeking and unaccredited elders, heads of families and kingmakers of the Ga Royal Paramount Stool have passed by to use the state security personnel to do unthinkable," he stated.

He mentioned that the Fast Track Court sitting in Kumasi on November 11, 2021 had ordered the restoration of the name of Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, into the National Register of Chiefs.

He renewed the call on the National House of Chiefs, Greater Accra House of Chiefs and the Ga Traditional Council “to respect the order of the High Court and assist Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, Ga Mantse take his seat as President of the Ga Traditional Council and a Member of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, taking cognisance of section 13 (1) of Act 2008 (Act 759).

He warned politicians “to wash their hands from Ga chieftaincy affairs,” adding, “It is not the function of any government, political party or any institution to elect or install a chief for any tribe in the country, more so, for Ga Mashie.
