Emmanuel Yeboah, a cab driver from Assin Fosu in the Central Region, was detained for driving a stolen car.

While transporting passengers from Assin Fosu to Assin Akropong Odumase, Mr. Yeboah was detained.

According to police sources, the car, a Chevrolet Matiz with the registration number GC 5983-21, was stolen around three months ago in Accra.

However, the automobile owner, who was traveling from Cape Coast to Kumasi on a commercial vehicle, spotted the car near Assin Fosu and raised an alert, resulting in the driver's arrest.

Police in Mallam, Accra, has taken up the case from Assin Fosu police for additional investigation after receiving complaints about the missing car weeks ago.
