Nkoranza Municipal Health Directorate Holds Annual Performance Review Meeting
The Municipal Health Directorates of Nkoranza South held its 2023 annual performance review meeting of the importance, collaboration and partnership in improving the health outcomes of the health centers in the communities in Nkoranza South Municipal of the Bono East Region.
The event was held under theme; “Building resilient structures for universal health coverage (UHC) and quality; The role of network of practice (NOP) and partners.
Addressing the stakeholders and participants during the performance review meeting held at the Nkoranza South Municipal auditorium, The Nkoranza South Municipal Director of Health Service, Dr. Amponsah Osei Kingsley said, his office is committed to improving the health outcomes of residents in the area by continually liaising with the necessary stakeholders and players in the sector.
Describing the Performance Review Meeting as a resounding success, he highlighted key achievements in the various areas of the health care provided the requisite platform for participants to outline their successes and discussed the challenges facing the sector whiles their performance in 2023 pointed at 4.2.
Dr. Amponsah noted that the Ghana Health Service has a mandate to conduct periodic reviews of its activities to identify and celebrate successes, plans to mitigate challenges and engage in best practices to enhance health services in the future.
 He added that there are 42 CHPS in which Clinics and a hospital are also serving health care in the municipality.
Addressing some challenges, the health director indicated inadequate motorbikes, lack of staff accommodations, and lack of health equipment at some various health facilities among other challenges that needed to be fixed urgently.
He therefore applauded the performance and hard works of the health personnel.
The Bono East Regional Nutrition Officer, Madam Leticia Bayor stated her impressions on the performance of the health service in the Nkoranza municipality.
He therefore encouraged the health practitioners to prioritize their delivery of service, and take stock of the previous year's activities identifying gaps and analyze the root causes to find solutions to them.
To her, eradicating the aforementioned health related issues will directly promote the fortunes of the municipality and create a healthier environment for people to thrive.
The meeting also offered an opportunity to update chiefs and traditional leader and stakeholders in the municipality.
Climaxing the activities at the event, individuals and facilities were awarded for their selfless services to encourage and motivation to spur the nurses and doctors to give off their best in the line of duty.
