The Assembly Member for Tettegu Electoral Area in the Weija-Gbawe municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Bright Kwame Adabra, has made a passionate appeal to the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Patrick Kwasi Brako Kumor and Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mrs Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah to construct drains to ease perennial flooding in the area.

According to the residents, any time there is a heavy downpour, most parts of Tettegu gets flooded, resulting in the loss of properties.

There has been a lot of public outcry to the state authorities to put up measures to fix flood-prone-Tettegu.

Speaking in an interview, the Assembly member stated that the major roads within Tettegu which needs urgent attention are, Wassman Rasta Ayalolo School Area, Ghana Flag Tetegu Old Town, Tsidi Kopeme,  Maimi, Island city and Anwiawia area where Government has an ongoing clinic, sanitary facility and school under construction which has come to halt due to unmotorables nature of the road.

He lamented that sometimes the flood situation is serious such that some residents cannot access their home or a safe place to even park their cars.
