Borehole installed in the Community

The people of Breman Dwendama and Breman Nankese in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of Central Region on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 have acquired portable drinking water through Michael Kyeremanteng foundation.

The people of the two communities speaking to soireenews during the dedication of the boreholes told they have been drinking from a river which was detrimental to their health for some years now.

Although the crises was disclosed to have been reported to the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District Assembly but they refused to come to their aid.

They told SoireeNews Central Regional Correspondent, Abusuapnin Kojo Ahinful that three boreholes which earlier functioned in the village broke and were assured by the Assembly of renovation but all efforts proved futile.

They expressed sincere gratitude to the Michael Kyeremanteng foundation for providing them two boreholes to serve them water which will play significant role in the lives of all living things in the community.

Speaking to the Chief Executive Officer of Michael Kyeremanteng foundation, Dr. Michael Kojo Kyeremanteng, providing solutions to community challenges is one of his priorities for the reason that his foundation is a relief and development oriented NGO which as part of its core mandate develops communities, improve the state of the natural environment, improve the welfare of the disadvantaged and help in the attainment of UN sustainable development goals.

He disclosed they have been able to refurbish two boreholes also at Dwandama and Nankese.

He continued that this project was to help attain the goal 3 and 6 of the UN Sustainable Development goals of Good Health and Well-Being and Clean water and Sanitation respectively. 

He advised that every person should do the little they can to make the world a better place for all.
