Wives' salaries should be paid into their husbands' accounts - Helen Paul

The comedian made the proposal in a recent Instagram post, requesting feedback from other women on the subject.

She wrote: “‘I think women’s salaries should be paid directly to their husband’s bank account’.

“My fellow women, what do you think?”

Her tweet garnered varied reactions, with some ladies agreeing and others expressing their disapproval in the comments area.

Paul debuted as a mischievous comic character on the iconic Nigerian radio show Wetin Dey on Radio Continental 102.3FM in Lagos. She was recognized on the show as "Tatafo," a smart child who addresses and mocks societal concerns in a sarcastic way.

Paul launched her debut album Welcome Party in July 2012, which includes Afro-Pop songs such as "Boju Boju", "Vernacular", "Gbedu", "God Forbid", an Afro RnB song titled "Children of the World", and "Use Calculator", an awareness song about the HIV-AIDS epidemic.

She later recorded a few singles, including "Take It Back". She released the music and graphics for her single "Never Knew" in 2018, an encouraging song about her early years and career progression. She earned a doctorate in theatre arts from the University of Lagos.
