Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, has been adjourned the most outstanding Member of Parliament across Africa human rights category
in 2024.
The African Public Service (APSO) award which was held at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra was conferred by The Business Executive Magazine during the 3rd Edition of the African Public Service Optimum Awards.

The award is in recognition of the young 
MP's examplary performance as a public servant whose excellent contributions to 
the practice of good corporate governance
in his organisation and to the overall socio-economic development of Africa are commendable.
According to the organizers of the award, Lawyer Sosu has been advocating for people who couldn't even pay for their legal issues.
The organisers told the gathering at the colourful ceremony that when the people
have issues in regard to the legal battle, they would be advised to go and consult Lawyer Sosu for support and that when the people approached him, he would not hesitate to lend his support to these people.

They indicated that this visible outstanding performance of Lawyer Sosu has informed their decision to award him to motivate him in order to continue to champion the human rights and legal advocacy in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
They pointed out that the hunam rights legal practitioner is the man to be proud of as well as to be celebrated for his advocacy for human rights and urged him to muster courage to continue to support the protection of human rights.
In a brief address after receiving the award, Honourable Sosu expressed his appreciation to the organisers of the award for recognizing his advocacy works he has been doing to support mankind in the society.
"I have dedicated this ward to all human right practitioners and those who are fighting for the protection of human rights. We cannot
live without fear of intimidations but when we respect the fundamental human rights of everyone, we want justice for all and injustice to none.

"I once again dedicate this award to the people of Madina Constituency through the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana," Lawyer stated.
It would be recalled that in a couple of months ago,  the Madina legislator has been adjudged the Outstanding Political Personality of the Year.
Conferred on him by the National Golden Excellence Awards, the recognition is in acknowledgement of Mr Sosu's stellar performance in introducing Private Member Bills to protect the vulnerable in society.
The first term MP has been at the forefront of Private Member Bills having introduced 17 so far with three being passed by Parliament and one receiving presidential assent.

"This award is testament to the dedication and hard work of not just myself but also to the team and supporters who have stood by me throughout this journey," Mr Sosu, the Ranking Member in the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee said.

The awards ceremony also awarded the minister for transportation, Hon. Kwaku Asiamah as the most innovative in the transport sector in Africa. Others in includes, La Dadekopon as the most impactful Municipal Assembly, Ayawaso West Wougon Assembly as the most accomplished Road Infrastructure, and a host of other awards received by distinguished achievers from other African countries like Kenya, Zambia, Congo DR, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso for their outstanding dedication and commitment to public service.
