She said that despite having multiple successful songs, she has only gotten GH 300 from GHAMRO since 2007.

She admitted that she was demoralized and that it had been 16 years since she had visited.

She told ghanaweekend.com, "I earned GH 300 in 2007 and since then, I have never received any money from the royalties-sharing agency.

She claims that the way the group has been run discourages her.

GHAMRO, who is in charge of distributing royalties, has had its license revoked, making it unable to fulfill its mandate to collect and distribute payments.

All Ghanaian copyright holders' royalties are collected by the agency. The Copyright Society of Ghana had been in charge of that responsibility prior to 2005.

The company has frequently come under fire for its openness and stakeholder involvement. Rex Omar was the organization's leader as of 2018.
