Danger Looms As Accident Truck With Gas Load Abandoned Leaking On Techiman-Kintampo Road - Drivers Call For Immediate action

Speaking on Asta FM monitored by Soireenews.com, the Techman-Kintampo  Station Manager, Mr. Baffoe Asante revealed that the Truck carrying full load of Gas was involved in an accident about four days ago due to these same deadly potholes they have been complaining about resulting to the death of the driver and the truck is still lying on the Techiman-Kintampo Highway.

DRIVERS who ply the Techiman-Kintampo Highway in the Bono East Region have raised an alarm over some serious challenges on the road involving deadly potholes and an abandoned leaking Gas accident truck.
Speaking on Asta FM monitored by Soireenews.com, the Techman-Kintampo
 Station Manager, Mr. Baffoe Asante revealed that the Truck carrying full load of Gas was involved in an accident about four days ago due to these same deadly potholes they have been complaining about resulting to the death of the driver and the truck is still lying on the Techiman-Kintampo Highway.
He said even though the Ghana National Fire Service and the Police have been to the accident scene, attempts to remove the accident truck and offload the Gas but as at the time of filing this report had failed exposing drivers and passengers who ply the road in serious danger.
Some other aggrieved drivers who also spoke to Peace FM called on the the Bono East Regional Minister, the Ghana Police Service, National Road Safety Authority and all responsible stakeholders to ensure that these deadly potholes are filled and the accident Gas Tanker removed before another disaster occurs on the already deathtrap Techiman-Kintampo highway.
Meanwhile, when the journalists contracted the Bono East Regional Director of National Road Safety Authority, Mr. Parry-Akyeampong Emmanuel, he confirmed the incident but pledged his outfit was liaising with other stakeholders to clear the accident scene to make the road safe for travelers.
