MP Donates Mechanized Borehole To 15 communities In Techiman South

Over 13,000 residents in about 15 communities in the Bono East Region have finally been served with potable drinking water through the installation of mechanized boreholes by the Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah.

Beneficiary communities include Anomatoa, Benkai, Tobaccomu, Ampemkrom, Fiaso, Bomene, Pahoso, Dogo Akura, Woraso, and Unas Akura.

The other communities are Nsuta, Kaniago, Old Bomiri, Anitinfe, and Akisimasu.

Speaking in an interview with the media when he inaugurated some of the completed boreholes, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah who doubles as Deputy Minister for Local government, Decentralization and Rural development noted that it was very sad that in modern-day Ghana some Ghanaians compete for water with animals hence the gesture.

The community water project according to the Minister commenced about three months ago and the aim is to ensure that constituents get access to portable water.

The first phase has seen the completion of about 15 boreholes whiles the second phase involving 20 boreholes is ongoing.

Mr Adjei Mensah said he is committed to solving water challenges in the constituency as well as unemployment issues.

Some residents of the beneficiary communities showered praises on the MP for coming to their aide.
