Let's unite for development - Western North Regional Minister tells Assembly Members
Honourable Richard Obeng

The Western North Regional Minister, Honourable Richard Obeng has told the Assembly members of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly to unite themselves for development irrespective of their political affiliation.

He made this comment when addressing the assembly members in the confirmation of the nominated MCE, Hon Louis Owusu Agyapong.

He added that "prior to any election, we represent our respective political parties but when the election is over we come together for development."

He referenced H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo as the President of the Republic of Ghana from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) while Rt.Hon.S.K Bargben as the Speaker of Parliament also from the opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC) but for the sake of Ghana's progress, they have collaborated in sharing a common goal.

Speaking with Soireenews reporter Nattybongo, after the endorsement, the MCE of Sefwi Wiawso, Hon Louis Owusu Agyepong expressed its gratitude to the assembly members for re-endorsing him as the MCE for the second term.

He added that, though he was not 100 per cent confirmed but crossed the benchmark (two-third or 70%) as stipulated by the 1992 constitution of Ghana.

He added that, as he begins his work as the MCE for Sefwi Wiawso Municipal for the second term, he will make sure to strengthen the good jobs done in his first term of office and to remedy what went wrong during his first administration.
