The two persons on the motorbike have died during a head-on collision involving a  motorbike and a taxi cap has led to the death of two energetic young men.

The two energetic men, now-deceased persons, are Samuel Kofi Wayo, 20, and Kwaku Addo, 37, who were on a motorbike traveling from New Abirim towards Akyem Oda, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

"The Akyem Oda police briefing the media, narrated, that on reaching Akyem Kwarteng stretch of the road, the motorbike collided with a Matiz II taxi cab with registration number AS 4328-20 driven by suspect driver Mathew Arthur, from the Abirem opposite direction".

The rider died instantly while the pillion, was rushed to hospital, but died while receiving treatment at the Mamaso Community hospital, the pillion passed away few hours on admission.

The bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited in the Mamaso community morgue for preservation.

Many motorbikes and tricycle accidents have taken away many lives in the eastern region since January 2021 and becoming alarming in the Region, which must be addressed.
