Techiman MCE supports 52 PWDs in Bono East Region

The Techiman Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) Mr John Kofi Donyina has presented items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to 52 Persons With Disabilities ( PWDs) in the Municipality.

This forms part of measures instituted by the government of Ghana to support persons with Disabilities and withdraw them from the streets with what is called Disability Common Fund.

The MCE presented items such as, motor king, fufu pounding machine and cash(undisclosed amount) to the Disables.

According to him, the vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is to help all sectors in his esteem ministries created.

He pleaded with the beneficiaries to make sure the requested items and monies given them is being put to a good use.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Social Welfare Director, Solomon Amaning aslo disclosed that the disbursement of the items to the PWDs of 52 people were involved.

The beneficiaries on the other hand showed their gratitude to the government for the incredible items.

They appealled that government should continue to help PWDs to withdraw all of them from the streets.
