Pru West Students Sit On Bare Floor To   Study Due To Lack Of Desks

Students of Abbasi Komfokrom Presbyterian Junior High School in Pru West District of Bono East Region sit on bare floor to survey due to the lack of furniture for the school

 The headteacher of the school who prefers to remain unnamed said the school block was handed over in 2010 without furniture and since then the student has had difficulty studying during teaching and learning. 

 'The classroom block was handed over without a single piece of furniture. The lack of furniture is not only affecting students but also the teachers who do not have teachers' tables and chairs to sit on and mark children's exercises.

 We find it difficult to mark class works and assignments. According to him, all pleas to the Pru West District Assembly to provide the school with furniture failed. 

The teachers and students, therefore are appealing to the government, their Member of Parliament for the area,  Stephen Jalullah as well as non-governmental organizations and philanthropists to come to their aid as the situation is affecting their studies negatively.
