Kotokrom: 37-year-old man butchered, suspect arrested     

A 37-year-old Kofi Baah has been butchered by an unknown person at Kotokrom in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region in the late hours of Wednesday, July 8, 202.

Speaking to the brother of the deceased, Kwasi Asante explained that Kofi Baah upon his return from town yesterday evening received a call from his girlfriend and left the house without eating.

According to him, the deceased had no misunderstanding with anybody so hearing the news this morning came as a shock to the family. Kwasi Asante admitted not seeing the deceased’s face but believe he is the brother because of the attire he was wearing.

The deceased brother said Kofi Baah is fond of keeping money in his pocket so he suspects robbery.

Meanwhile, Soiree news source indicates that a suspect has been nabbed by the Sunyani District Police pending investigation.

Assemblymember Kotokrom Electoral Area, Dramani Mahama said the suspect was nabbed by the police night patrol team on Wednesday night, the same night the deceased was murdered.

He said, the patrol team arrested and detained the suspect upon seeing him with blood stains and a saw blade in his hand, at the time the police had no idea of the murdered but on suspicion.

Only to find out the next morning about the murder.

Meanwhile, the Sunyani Divisional Crime Officer DSP Kingsley Wiredu says the Police are yet to probe the family on the incident.
