A married man stabs a friend who is having an affair with his'side chick.'

Kofi Kwakye, also known as "Tompoo," a 32-year-old married man, allegedly stabbed his 33-year-old friend, Dominic Kwame Ofori, also known as "Koliko," to death for allegedly having an affair with his "side chick."

According to accounts, two 'weed' users got into a furious altercation at a "weed base" in Akyem Achiase in the Achiase district of the Eastern Region on Sunday evening at about 5:30 pm, which culminated in the death of one.

Both pals had already engaged in a battle at the galamsey site sometime before on the claim that the other was dating his girlfriend, according to a resident, John Bamfo Amoah alias JB, who arrived on the scene immediately after the incident.

On Sunday, the two reconnected at the "weed base," and a struggle ensued, with the culprit stabbing his victim multiple times with a kitchen knife.

He said that "Tompoo," the suspected killer, had the kitchen knife on him when the fight started, and that he pulled it out and stabbed his friend "Koliko" before running away when he realized he was dead.

Unfortunately, the suspect's wife was apprehended by the Achiase Police Department after they received information that she was meeting her husband to give him his bag so he could flee.

A woman who did not want her identity published spoke angrily to the media, expressing her concern about how 'marijuana' smokers had taken over the town and were committing severe crimes while the cops stood by.
