The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has been blamed on the killings and missing of innocent persons at Dunkwa Ayanfuri, a mining community in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.

Scores of Ayanfuri community members led by Madam Deborah Mensah have raised concerns on the current case of the alleged disappearance of about 15 northerners who are doing business in Ayanfuri township.

The incident occurred when there was a power outage couple of days ago in October 2021.

She pointed out that they realized that anytime there is a power outage in the area, there is a reported murder case in the town as well as adjoining communities.

Madam Deborah Mensah who doubles as the Spokesperson for the Concerned members and citizens of Ayanfuri told Soireenews reporter on Tuesday, October 25, 2021, evening via telephone call that their attention has been drawn to the unfortunate disappearance of the 15 Northerners.

According to her, their investigation into the matter revealed that family members of the 15 Northerners are in search of them.

This development has informed their decision to spill the beans about the issue in order to call the national security to probe into the matter.

Aside from the missing of the 15 northerners, she pointed out that, two human bodies of suspected ritual murder victims have also been discovered at separate locations at Dunkwa Ayamfuri.

These murder cases, according to her, have created insecurity, fear, and panic in Dunkwa Ayanfuri,  a gold mining town which is the termination town on the 94.4-kilometre Tarkwa- Bogoso-Ayamfuri road.

She told Soireenews that the serial killers have taken due advantage of the current frequent power cut by Grid Company Limited  Electricity Company of Ghana to commit these most horrifying acts of killing innocent people and removal of their body parts for rituals.

She revealed that on Sunday, October 17, 2021, a farmer in his thirties was reported missing at Dzaaman, a farming community near Ayanfuri, and has since not been found.

It has emerged that a 7-year-old female pupil was killed by some assailants in Ayamfuri township on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, without traces of her body.

Our reporter gathered that a 6-year-old boy was beheaded on Monday, October 4, 2021, and dumped into a manhole at Ayamfuri SDA Primary School an examination of his body also revealed the removal of some of his human parts.

Another dead body, identified as 23- year-old businessman was also killed on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, last and was found dumped into the Ayamfuri township private cemetery.

He had his face covered with his attire and an indication of some head organs removed.

And it has emerged that he was called by the friends to come and meet them at a joint and upon driving his private car reaching the cemetery he was reportedly attacked and killed by the unknown assailants.

The dead body has been deposited at the Dunkwa Offin Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The paper's sources at Ayanfuri indicate that these incidents have been officially reported to the police at Ayanfuri Police Station but no arrest was effected as at the time of filing this report of the three separate serial killings in the area.

The gruesome murder of these three persons has shot Ayanfuri to the first position, steadily pushing higher ranking communities on the league table of ritual murders.

Efforts to get the police to comment on the issue have proven abortive.
