Woman 55, found dead in Her farm

The nature of Abena Kwenuwa, a 55-year-old woman untimely death at her farm has led to the family calling for a postmortem to find the cause of her death.

A 55-year-old woman, Abena Kwenuwa has been found dead on her farm at Enyan Abaasa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region.

Information gathered by Soireenews revealed that the deceased left home last Sunday evening around 4:30 PM without telling anybody in the community.

Her husband Okyeame Kwegyire with some of the residents decided to conduct a search to find her whereabouts. 

The deceased husband (Okyeame Kwegyire) thought she has travelled to her hometown, Breman Essiam of which a message was sent to the town but unfortunately she was not there.

They later decided to visit the farm in search of her. They found her sauce used in carrying farm produce but the further search proved futile.

They later went home and reported the incident to the Enyan Abaasa Police which together with three policemen and the family went back to the farm again upon searching. They later found a bundle of firewood on the ground and on reaching where it lied, the lifeless body of the woman was discovered.

She was found dead Monday Evening upon several searches conducted.

No cut or wound was found so the body was conveyed to Etuafoa Mortuary at Ajumako Mando for Preservation.

Speaking to Soireenews, the Ebusuapanyin of the husbands family, Odei Nyarkoh said, rumours indicated that the deceased husband (Okyeame Kwegyire) killed his wife, dumped her on the farm and later reported the case to the police.

He denied the allegations and stated category that her husband knows nothing about her death for he was sleeping when the deceased went to the farm without informing him.

"I found her wearing her farm cloth without any blood, cutlass wound and nothing so I believe she stepped and fell down whiles the firewood fell on her which led to her untimely death," Kwesi Dadze, the founder of the lifeless body said.

The case has been forwarded to the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Police station for further investigation.

No arrests have been made so far.

The body of the deceased has been since deposited at the Etuafoa Mortuary for preservation. The family has called for a postmortem to find the cause of her death.
