Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is set to sign a new two-year contract extension with the Premier League club.

This comes a day after the uncertainty over his future ended.

Ten Hag will remain at Old Trafford after senior officials’ review to ascertain whether or not to keep the manager in place.

United are prepared to back the coach with a new two-year deal.

That deal, according to the Telegraph, will supersede his current contract, which runs out in 2025.

This means the Dutchman will have three more years with the Red Devils from this summer.

United finished eighth, but they still won the FA Cup and qualified for the Europa League.

Initially, Ten Hag’s current contract was set to expire on June 30, 2025, including the optional year. However, the anticipated new deal would extend his tenure by an additional two years, effectively keeping him at the helm until the summer of 2027.

This move is seen as a natural progression given Ratcliffe’s commitment to maintaining stability and continuity at the club.
