Sean Kingston is now in jail in Florida over $1 million fraud claims

According to Broward County Sheriff's Office records, the "Beautiful Girls" musician was detained on Sunday.

The allegations include fraud, trafficking stolen property, unlawful exploitation of personal identifiable information, grand theft, and an organized plot to defraud.

Late last month, Kingston and his mother were accused in connection with an alleged fraud operation involving approximately $1 million in products.

This was preceded by news that a Kingston-related property had been raided, with Kingston later commenting on the situation.

"People love negative energy!" Kingston posted on Instagram in May. "I am fine, as is my mother! "My lawyers are handling everything as we speak."

When reached on Monday, a Kingston representative stated that there is currently no comment. Complex has also contacted the Broward County Sheriff's Office. This story may be updated.

Kingston was initially arrested in California. Prior to the arrest, a lawyer representing a corporation in a civil dispute against Kingston, who just recorded a song with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, told WTVJ that the singer is "100 percent a scammer."
