Sagnarigu MCE Donates Tools to Artisans

Hajia Mariam Iddrisu, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sagnarigu has donated tools worth thousand Ghana cedis to some artisans in the area.

Through the support from the Council of Vocational and Technical Education Training (COVET), the artisans received the assorted tools with great excitement.

The tools included working table set, Grinding Machine/Angle Grinder, Bench Vice, Socket Set, Steel File set, Square set, Drill press, and others. 

In her address, she encouraged unemployed youth in the Municipality to venture into handwork, and that it has huge prospects.

For the beneficiaries, Hajia Mariam tasked them to make very good use of the items.

She further urged Ghanaians especially residents of the Northern Region to have confidence in the Akufo Addo government, and avoid doubt it pledges.

"Let’s endeavor to end the doubting syndrome in us as Ghanaians and take advantage of the great pro-poor interventions implemented by the Nana-Addo/BAWUMIA NPP administration".

According to her, the government has almost implemented the promises it made before assuming office.

One of the beneficiaries, Abdul Karim on behalf of the colleagues expressed gratitude to Soireenews for the support and assured the Municipal Assembly and the MCE that they would put the items to good use.

According to him, many of them were lacking some of the items given.
