Alavanyo SHTS receives first support 

Some group of persons calling themselves Friends of Alavanyo Technical High School, from home and abroad have donated some teaching and learning materials to the school after learning the plight of the thirty years old institution.

The members who are citizens of Alavanyo living outside the community led by Queen mother of Alavanyo Deme, Mama Akosua Awoanyo I donated 100 Mono Desks, 20 Dining Hall Benches including 60 Plastic Chairs for Staff Common Room and assorted test books.

According to them, Alavannyo has been in the hearts of residents yet no support comes to them.

Lamenting on the academic situation, the group says, the hostel at the school currently was provided by the residents of the Community of which if Government intervenes, will change the lives of students in the community.

The queen mother appealed to parents and guardians to take care of their wards and encourage them to go to school.

She advised the young ones to prioritize education and vocation since that will help them in the future.

The residents appealed to the Government to turn its face to develop the community and help the residents with all other needed amenities.
