Provide Equally Better Security Details To The Speaker- Upper West NDC MPS Advised.
Leader of the Caucus, Hon. Rashid Pelpuo explained that they need the government to immediately take up the issue of security of the Speaker as a priority and make arrangements for the same.
Emmanuel K Ansah Members of Parliament from the NDC minority caucus have called on the government to as a matter of urgency, provide an equally better security alternative to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Honorable Alban Sumana Bagbin.
According to the caucus, the withdrawal of the military security of the Speaker is worrying and an arrangement must be made urgently to regularise the deployment of his security details.

He also indicated that the lack of response by the government on the matter is worrying, since the matter was made public.
Responding to the claims of the Upper West NDC caucus on the security of the Speaker of Parliament, the MP for Manso Edubia, Honorable. Yaw Frimpong Addo, said it is the responsibility of the state to provide police protection to the Speaker and not military protection.
