A private developer has constructed a fence wall on an asphalted road to block access to motorists.

The road links to the regional offices of the Department of Urban Roads and Regional Coordinating Council from Dakodwom road.

Information gathered indicates that the developer is claiming the road passed through his land.

Currently, the issue is not about a private developer protecting his land but the waste of state resources in building the road might also lead to the judgment debt.

We chanced on a former Deputy Minister for Ashanti Region, Joseph Yammin who was stranded when he attempted to use the road to the Urban road office for personal duty.

Speaking to Akoma news monitored by Soireenews he disclosed that it is a shame for a busy road like such, to be blocked due to someone's negligence.

He proposed an urgent investigation into the construct of the construction of the road.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti regional minister, Honourable Simon Osei Mensah has to confirm, that the said portion belongs to the private investor.

"As I remain as the Ashanti regional minister, I have no idea concerning the owner of the portion of the land which the asphalt road was constructed through" but looking at the document shown by the private investor, I can say he is the owner of the land the minister added.
