Techiman North DCE Honored For Sustaining Peace In The District

The acting District Chief Executive for Techiman North, Honourable Peter Mensah Kumbeso has been awarded as the best performing DCE in the Bono East Region.

The colourful event which took place at the District's capital, Tuobodom, was organized by the Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation.

Hon. Peter was awarded for his immense contribution towards the development of the Techiman North District especially, for his ability to sustain the peace in Tuobodom for the last four years during his first tenure of office.

According to the group, the collaboration between Honourable Peter and the security departments in the district is to make Techiman North one of the peaceful districts in the country and in turn attracts many investors for the betterment of the district.

The President for the Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation Ghana, Mohammad Bashiru Tijani in an interaction with the media said they based on the personal relationship between the various MMDCEs in the Region and the people, developmental projects and personal attitudes to award Hon. Peter Mensah Kumbeso as the best performing Chief Executive among the Chief Executives of Atebubu, Nkoranza South, Techiman Municipal and Techiman North.

Mohammad Bashiru further explained that his outfit deems it fit to honour the Techiman North DCE while he is alive rather than to wait and honour him while he is no longer among the living, a behaviour he believes Ghanaians must adopt to encourage hardworking individuals.

The Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Ohene Boadi Bossman, eulogized Hon. Peter for his coordination with the police department to ensure and maintain peace in the district especially at its capital, Tuobodom.

He said with the constant support from the DCE,  the Techiman North District's Police Command, will discharge their duties without fear or favour and uphold the peaceful atmosphere of Tuobodom for years to come.

Hon. Peter Mensah Kumbeso, dedicated his award to the first gentleman of the land, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing him to serve the good people of Tuobodom and Techiman North at large.

He believes the award will keep him on his toes and serve as a constant reminder in discharging his duties to the highest professional level.

Hon. Peter Mensah lauded the Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation Ghana for recognizing his deeds in the district, he also assured the people of Techiman North of more developmental projects.
