Police have detained a 21-year-old mother for throwing her one-day-old baby in the toilet.
They then escorted them to the hole, where the baby had been discovered lifeless.

A 21-year-old lady was detained by the Jasikan Police Department for reportedly abandoning her day-old baby in a pit latrine.
She was apprehended by an elderly woman, thought to be her mother, who is accused of assisting the 21-year-old in committing the crime.
On Friday, May 27, 2022, the incident is said to have occurred.
Residents were aware of the loss of the day-old baby due to their alertness and organized a search party after confronting the two – the baby's mother and an older woman.
They then escorted them to the hole, where the baby had been discovered lifeless.
The baby's body was taken to the Jasikan Hospital mortuary and deposited there.
