A Research team named Dombo Research Team, led by Mr. Nangfaa Alberto Dombo, has charged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to control and elect a competent general secretary for the party.
According to the research, introspect the party's reasons failed to protect its parliamentary ratio in terms of representation in the 8th parliament was to many factors that need to be sober from the snigger of the opposition party. 
Speaking on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo's show, Mr. Nangfaa, the research team leader, argued that the political dynamics within the party have been abate and that delegates and general members at the grassroots have become less exert in the party.
He noted the following as the key factors according to their poised research, to consider when selecting a general secretary for the party, which could be attributed to the general affection for the show of competency;
"The person should be outspoken, must be smart and intelligent, and must be courageous. The person should be a leader and not a boss, the person should be a very good researcher and the person should be able to manage the party from the bottom to the top not the other way round and the person should be having a listening ear."
He continued that it would serve the party right if it learns from its wrongs and prepared adequately for the 2024 election.
With this, he noted that the party should disband all forms of political cliques and allow competent executives who are committed to serving the interest of the party, particularly, retaining power for 2024 and beyond.
He concluded by evoking all delegates to make introspect to bring great disparity to the party coming 2024 general elections.
