Assin South: 19-Year-Old Boy Stabs Biological Father to Death
The suspect, who is reported to be suffering from mental illness confronted his father with a kitchen knife and run it through his neck and chest.

A 19-Year-Old boy, Phillip Yaayi has allegedly stabbed his 58- years-old Biological Father, Mr Yaayi popularly known as Akwasi Dagaati to death at Assin Manso in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The information gathered from the residents of the Community indicates the deceased had earlier gone to Ankafo Psychiatric Hospital with the suspect over mental illness.
The incident is said to have occurred on Friday, 23rd July 2021 when the deceased went to work at his Corn Mill Shop and the alleged suspect confronted him with a kitchen knife. Reports reveal that he stabbed him multiple times on his chest and neck to death.
The Eyewitnesses who heard the shouting of help rushed to the scene found the deceased lifeless in a pool of blood.
The suspect later reported himself to Assin Manso Police Station whiles the deceased was conveyed to St. Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Foso in the Assin Foso Municipality of the Central Region.
