The Kasoa police command has arrested a Nigerian based Ghanaian called Wisdom Godwin for beating his 4 years’ stepson, Miracle to coma.
The wicked incident happened on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Gomoa Budumburam in the Gomoa East of the Central Region.
The wife of the suspect, Blessing Rinos, spoke to Central Regional Soiree News correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful said her husband has resorted to beating the child everyday but for the last one which made her report to the police was very serious which led the son went into a coma.
She said, through the beatings, there are a lot of bloody marks on the child’s body.
The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit, ASP Doris Aggrey Laryea confirmed to Soiree news correspondent that, the 4 years old victim was beaten terribly and it is against the laws of the nation.
ASP Doris Laryea continued that some angry men rushed to beat up Godwin the same way he flogged the stepson but it took one police officer to rescue him from the angry men.
The ASP however has advised women to report to the police of any form of maltreatment.
