Asew is my Biggest Song Ever - Bisa Kdei

Bisa Kdei has admitted that "Asew" is his biggest track.

The song, which was released in 2018, was featured in Hollywood's Christmas Netflix hit, "Jingle Jangle" in 2020. 

The "Asew" hitmaker said that it was the track that gave him global recognition, ahead of local hits like Metanfo”, “Odo Carpenter”, “Mansa” among others.

“Asew is my biggest song, it didn’t receive much attention in Ghana but outside, it's on like 49,000 playlists on Spotify. That song has made waves in places that I never imagined,”

According to Bisa Kdei and the global chart records, the project was an outstanding success.

“If you weren’t happy for me, then it’s up to you because it is a win for Ghana. The love that was coming from Ghana and the rest of Africa, the celebration was amazing. The movie (Jingle Jangle) went viral and topped charts, it was big.”

“I don’t have to blame anyone, at some point it happens, that’s the nature of the job. When people talk about me, I don’t pay attention to it because whatever you do, people will talk about you.” He stated in his interview with ZionFelix.

He further explained that he does not care about what people say on his songs; he will rather channel his energy into making good songs and money than reply to critics.

“They said all stuff about me, but when my deal came, these same people talked about it. Sometimes you just have to let it be, let people say what they want. Let them assume what they want to assume and just focus on your work,”

“Previously I was hurt when I hear negative comments about myself. That even lead me to record my song “Give It To Baba” …I don’t usually talk, I only talk when there is a need to.”
