Nkawie Circuit Court presided by His Lordship Justice Michael Abbey has remanded three (3) illegal chainsaw operators who trespassed into Tano Offin Forest reserve near Nyinahin.

The three accused persons, Isaiah Anyane, 38, Enoch Amo, 35, and Nartey Stephen, 35, will reappear in court two weeks later.

Mr. Chrisantus Nifasooyir, Nkawie District Forest Services Division Manager said he was surprised how the accused persons managed to sneak into the forest reserve albeit efficient and effective monitoring and surveillance measures put in place.

He advised chainsaw operators to desist from entering the forest reserve illegally since the law will deal with them.

He also appealed to chiefs in the area to stop pleading to temper justice with mercy on behalf of culprits
