The Sefwi Wiawso Divisional Police Command in the Western North Region has arrested one Kwabena Twene popularly known as Ebeyeyie, a 59-year-old-man farmer who allegedly killed his Ex-Wife Rose Oppong popularly known as Afua Kye aged 38 at Adiembra Near Chirano in the Bibiani Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality.

The suspect was arrested yesterday around 8 pm by 3 policemen named, Inspector John Appiah, Corporal Amos Nyaaba, and constable Bright Agbor at Sefwi Dwenase in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal via intelligent whistleblower after he (suspect) had wanted to escape police arrest over the killing of the deceased (Afua Kye).

The alleged murderer, Kwabena Twene who hails from Drobo in the Jaman South in the Bono Region according to SN24 reporter, assassinated the ex-wife due to division.

Ebeyeyie and Afua Kye had divorced about 6 years ago after the ex-wife had told him (Kwabena Twene) that she can’t continue with the relationship.

The suspect told SN24 News that she could not stop thinking about the ex-wife because he has spent a lot on her hence the manslaughter.

At the moment the suspect (Kwabena Twene) is in the custody of the Sefwi Bibiani Police Command where investigations are ongoing.
