National Best Farmer makes a plea for assistance in enhancing food and security.

The country's top farmer in 2017 is Kwaku Agyeman is pleading for government intervention to assist farmers in the nation to increase agricultural production and guarantee food security at all times.

According to him, the majority of farmers grow a variety of crops, including rice, cassava, maize, beans, tomatoes, and rice. He also noted that while most farmers rely primarily on rainfall to complete their work, irregular rainfall patterns are another factor that negatively impacts their efforts.

According to Baffour Kwaku Agyeman, crop production was being hampered by the continually rising cost of farm inputs such as fertilizers, agrochemicals, insecticide, and other such items, which is why the ministry of food and agriculture was required.

He lamented the fact that farms were unable to transport their produce to market centers on account of the lack of motorable and access roads.

Mr. Denis Abugri Amenga, regional director of Agric for Bono The three-day fair is one of the ways, according to this statement, for speeding our work toward the accomplishment of the agriculture modernization and transformation plan.

He claims that the fair will give the main agricultural stakeholders a single platform, give agribusinesses the chance to find and connect with new clients, promote technology useful in raising farm-related income, and give industrial players in the agricultural sector up-to-date information.
