The disinfection exercise

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has disinfected 50 police posts in the Ahafo Region.

The two-day disinfection exercise begun yesterday, Monday February 8, 2021, aims at protecting the police and their public from the deadly coronavirus.

The exercise in collaboration with Ghana Police Service will cover police facilities in six districts in the region.

Akrodie Police Station, Asumura Police Station, Fawohoyadin Police Station, Ayomso Police Station, Mim Police Station, Gambia No 2 Police Station, Kasapin Police Station among others in the region were disinfected.

Speaking to Soiree News 24, the Deputy Regional Police Commander for Ahafo Region ACP Andrews Boadu Ekumah applauded the collaboration between the Ghana government and Zoomlion in helping to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added that fumigation exercise was necessary to looking at the devastating effects of the disease. 

The exercise, he explained further will go a long way to protect police officers, their families, and the citizenry.

The Zonal Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Edward Ziddah, on the other hand, said his office has deployed 30 to 40 personnel to disinfect the over 50 police facilities in the Ahafo Region.

Mr. Ziddah affirmed that since the break out of the deadly Covid-19 non of the workers of Zoomlion in the Region has tested positive for the virus.

He however called on households, churches, companies to engage with Zoomlion to disinfect their facilities. He entreated also, the public to abide by all the safety protocols.
