Mr Logic is in court for allegedly scamming a US resident of $21,000 and GH¢48,000

Ghanaian artist Christopher Nelson, commonly known as Mr Logic, is facing charges in the Dansoman Circuit Court for allegedly scamming a US citizen and his family.

The suspected scam includes amounts of $21,000.00 and GH¢48,000. According to The Chronicle, Mr Logic is suspected of committing fraud while claiming to have obtained a residence permit.

He pled not guilty and was granted GH¢400,000 bail with three sureties. Khori Edward Lewis, the fraud victim, is a Panang-based musician and American citizen.

Lewis and his family visited Ghana and were introduced to Mr Logic by Monica Spence, who claimed to be Mr Logic's manager.

Mr Logic allegedly told Lewis that he could get a resident permit to live and work in Ghana for a fee, which resulted in the alleged fraud.

On May 11, 2024, Lewis reported the incident to the police. The court was informed that the Ghana Immigration Service had discovered that a resident permit costs $1,000.08 per person.

Mr. Logic is well-known for displaying his money online. He recently purchased a new home and shared it on social media, giving YouTuber Zionfelix a tour of the property.

During the interview, Mr. Logic stated that he spends an average of GH¢8,000 daily.
