The Ugandan dance group Ghetto Kids apologized to their supporters for their "unwavering support throughout the competition" after failing to place in the top three at the final round of Britain's Got Talent on Sunday.

The six kids, who range in age from six to thirteen, were abandoned by their guardian before being taken in and cared for by Dauda Kavuma, a manager, in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

Ghetto Kids was one of the competition's ten finalists. Viggo Venn, a 33-year-old Norwegian comedian, took first place. Dancer Lilliana Clifton, age 13, came in second, and magician Cillian O'Connor, age 14, took third.

The Ugandan ensemble had previously made history when they became the first act to advance directly to the semifinals after receiving a "golden buzzer" from one of the judges before they had even completed performing.

Then, after receiving the most public votes, they joined nine other contenders in the final.

The Ghetto Kids already had millions of YouTube views under their belts before joining the UK talent show, and they appeared in a music video for US-Moroccan rap sensation French Montana in 2017. This has only increased the group's already substantial fame.
